1985 Chrysler LeBaron Mark Cross

Originally, LeBaron was a coachbuilder of luxury cars in the '30s and '40s, and designed many of the Chryslers of that era. In the 1950s, they became the in-house designer for them. It was then that the LeBaron model was introduced, which makes it one of the longest running nameplates in Chrysler history.
This one, created in Radiant Silver Metallic, really shines. The simple, clean, body lines have a nice solid look to them that says quality. With the convertible top down and the boot cover in place, this car looks like it belongs in a parade. The body lines and silver paint are highlighted with tasteful chrome treatments like the grill that is immediately recognizable as a Chrysler, and it has a Pentastar logo just to be sure make you make the direct connection. The headlight surrounds add even more shine to the front end and a chrome highlight that follows the lower body line around the car from bumper to bumper, is complemented by taillight and rocker treatments. Finally, add wheel well highlights and the wire wheel look to complete the picture. A black convertible roof that looks tight and right when it is up makes this a luxury convertible for any weather.
The interior will draw you in and make you want to stay there for as long as possible, so there's no telling where you may end up driving in this car. Mark Cross was a leather company tracing its heritage back to the 1800s and this leather upholstery pays tribute to their craft. Compliment that with nice wood treatment on the dash, console, and doors, and you are sitting in the lap of luxury. Of course, there are power seats, windows, and door locks on this model. The drivetrain in this car is stock too. The 2.2L Turbo motor is a modern fuel injected engine that is fuel efficient, makes good power, and runs great. Although it only has 6000 miles on it, it has enjoyed the benefit of scheduled maintenance that is needed even if a car is not driven much. It received the recommended timing belt and water pump replacement based on time, not the mileage. That service also included other basics like a tune up and A/C service. This is a front wheel drive car, and a 3-speed automatic trans gets the car moving, with power front disc brakes to get it stopped. A strut type front suspension and beam type rear provide a nice ride on those long drives you will want to take, and "the right tire changes everything", so you can feel confident on your Michelin 185/70R14 tires.
