1956 Chrysler 300B plus rust free parts car
1956 Chrysler 300B
For sale is a 1956 Chrysler 300B in the rare Regimental Red color with an Arizona rust-free two-door New Yorker hardtop parts car. The 300B came in three colors: Cloud White, Black, and Regimental Red. Chrysler mademore of the White and Black cars than the Red version. The car is a complete car with the original 300B engine, two four-barrel carburetors with intake manifold, and hard to find (and expensive) bat-wing air cleaner. The car has the Chrysler 48-spoke wire wheels made by Motor Wheel Corporation which are also hard to find. I have owned this car for many years and started restoring it around 15 years ago. I removed the driver's side outer and inner fenders and grill and started repairing some rust areas but, unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances I couldn't continue the restoration and had to put the car in indoor dry storage where it has sat for 10 years. The car has never sat outside since I have owned it.
The 300B was essentially built as a street legal race car. The 300B set the world passenger car record for speed at Daytona Beach at 133.9 mph. A total of 1,102 were sold. The 300B engine was built for racing and a large part of the desirability of the 300B is due to the 300B Hemi-engine. The 300B engine is a modified Chrysler FirePower engine. The modifications include twin four-barrel carburetors, a new intake manifold, a full race camshaft, and mechanical tappets. Also, a special hardened crankshaft, heavy duty main and rod bearings, special cylinder head covers, air cleaners, a chrome top compression ring, heavy duty bearings and heavy duty main bearing caps.
When I bought the car the two four-barrel intake manifold had been replaced with a single four- barrel intake and single carburetor but the two four- barrel intake and two carburetors and air cleaner are with the car. To save on fuel cost the car could be driven with the single four-barrel setup. The car is a project car and has rust issues but an Arizona rust-free two-door New Yorker hardtop parts car comes with it. There should be no need to hunt for car panels.
If this car is restored the following values for a 300B are from the top insurer of classic cars.
Current Values:

A #4 vehicles is a daily driver, with flaws visible to the naked eye. The chrome might have pitting or scratches, the windshield might be chipped. Paintwork is imperfect, and perhaps the body has a minor dent. Split seams or a cracked dash, where applicable, might be present. No major parts are missing, but the wheels could differ from the originals, or other non- stock additions might be present. A #4 vehicle can also be a deteriorated restoration. "Fair" is the one word that describes a #4 vehicle.
