1948 Chrysler New Yorker Hylander
1948 Chrysler New Yorker convertible is a great running large car. No Reserve. It has a two range 4 speed semi automatic transmission using a fluid coupling, which is joined with the big straight eight flathead engine. It has red exterior with maroon leather accents on the desirable Hylander plaid interior option and a premium tan canvas top with glass rear window in chromed frame. Has Hylander name plate on dash. Has twin heaters, wing vents and cowl vent with secondary vent divert control. Clock and gas gage only partially work. other gages work fine. Has antennae installed, but dash has radio delete installed with uninstalled radio in the trunk. Several boxes of spare parts are included in the trunk including owners and repair manuals. Powered tan top works extremely well. The chrome is a combination of good original and redone on the parts that needed improvement. a few pieces might need replaced, but most including the steel bumpers are in excellent condition.
