This Imperial has been in storage for decades! Prior to its hibernation, this car was repainted, reupholstered, and a new convertible top was put on. It also received new tires and new exhaust.
After receiving the car, we cleaned and serviced the car to get it to start, drive, and stop properly. We installed a new gas tank and a new sending unit, and flushed the gas lines. We serviced the brakes with four new wheel cylinders, brake shoes, turned the drums, packed the bearings, and replaced the master cylinder. We also changed the oil and filter, serviced the transmission with a new shift cable, and installed a new battery. The car starts, runs, and drives really nice. However considering how long the car has been sitting, it will still need some work to get everything in working order.
The paint and the body work appear professionally done, but over time the paint has shown some imperfections. The car looks great from 10 feet, but it is not perfect. There's imprints of bird residue that you can see in the paint and some bubbling on the left front fender. After looking at it closely, it appears the rear quarter panels have bondo in them. On the underside there is rusting in the floors. The windshield has extensive scratching on the passenger side. The trunk lock is missing, however it can be opened using a screwdriver to trigger the latch release. The tires look good, but they bump going down the road because the car has been sitting for so long.
The engine is a 413 V8 coupled to an automatic transmission. Accessories include: Power steering, power brakes windows, power driver and passenger seats, a power top, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, and AM/FM radio.

A Wisconsin brand placed on a vehicle title when a proper ownership document was not submitted as part of the application, and a surety bond was filed prior to a Wisconsin title being issued. A surety bond is held for a period of five years before being released.
