1989 Chrysler Conquest TSI SHP Model. So Mitsubishi only made a limited amount of these perhaps 1000 in 1989, the SHP stood for Sport Handling Package. Bigger wheels, adjustable suspension, sunroof, bigger axles, better transmission, etc.
1989 Chrysler Conquest TSI SHP model. They only made 1000 of the SHP models for year 1989. This is originally an Arizona car with 78k on the body. This has an 18G Mitsubishi turbocharger, short shifter, OVC hard pipe, 83 scooped hood, 3" straight exhaust w/down pipe, bov, sunroof, SHP adjustable shocks, drilled/slotted rotors, SHP polished wheels front 8 rear 9 and the oven-baked tail lights. The motor is a high performance engine installed FEB-2002 with detailed info including 2.6 motor w/ 40 overhyper eutectic 8:5:1 pistons, total seal TSI rings, new crank, rods w/ arp bolts, new oil pump, chains, gears, no balance shafts, fully balanced,marble head, fully ported w/ out jet valves, roller rockers and arp head studs... This motor only has about 300 miles on it since that time. I t has been started regularly. However, it smokes(white/grey)and has always done that. Not sure if it is the valve keepers or the turbo needing a rebuild or the car needing to be driven more... But there are no sounds and the engine has always started. The windshield has a slight crack towards the top and have pics of that. Told it was iffy on passing. The seats are the car's original ones and they probably need a re-do. The original stereo is not powering on and have not looked into why not. The ventilation system works but not the a/c. Probably just needs a recharge. The rest of the interior is very good. This car has only done a few 100 miles in the east and has never stayed outside. Had some paint work done in 2011.I can assist with shippers and recommend one. I don't recommend driving it because of the age of the tires which are EAGLE GT's, they are old but look in good condition. I don't see any imperfections but it is up to the winning bidder. I have to many projects going or else I would keep it. The winning bidder with some minor work could be getting a great and beautiful SHP Conquest!
