Description:

1978 Chrysler Newport

This is an all original 1978 Chrysler Newport with 73,000 miles. This car has been family owned since its purchase. My grandfather purchased this car and had it delivered to the house in 78. The car was built for towing. It has the big block 440 motor coupled to a 727 torqueflite transmission. The car runs and shifts great. I change the oil and give it a tune up every year and run it every few months. Garage kept.
I do not have the time or money that I'd want to put into the car. So instead of seeing it sit in the garage for the next 10-15 years until I can do something with it, I'd just rather see it go to someone who will use and appreciate it.
Interior is all original and in great shape.
Tow Package
Load leveling rear shocks: currently don't work
A/C & Heat blower motor needs fixed

After market rims are currently on the car. I have the original wheels and hub caps as well

ADDITIONAL INFO:
-No Rust on the floor boards or trunk floor. There is SOME, but not much, surface rust on the frame. Remember this car was a daily driver for my grandfather. The car has NEVER seen a winter.
-The Car DOES NOTBURN OIL(that I know of). I start it and let it idle about 3 times a week. It will idle anywhere from 30 mins to an hour and a half. This kind of running has not changed the oil level.
-The motor is all original to include the LEAN BURN system. It is hooked up and operational.
-There are no rattles/noises and it DRIVES STRAIGHT
- The corners where the rear window meets the trunk do not leak. The trunk is in good shape and free of rust.
- If you were to fix the vinyl top yourself, you can buy them pre-cut on eBay for about $223. (Landau Vinyl Tops on eBay)
Message me for additional info. It's a great buy. It needs very little work put into it to bring it back to stock.
