LOW RESERVE Possibly the Nicest T&C Available!! Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased. and VERY excited to offer possibly the nicest 1947 Chrysler Town and Country Available anywhere! As some of you already know. I am a bit car Crazy. and enjoy offering unique and interesting motorcars. This one could possibly be over the top of anything that I have ever owned!! Usually. when the top goes down. the price goes up! As with anything. especially automotive art. there are exceptions!! People with wealth on the East Coast bought sedans. people with wealth on the West Coast bought convertibles. Where the convertible had pizzazz. the sedan had elegance. " Inside. the sedan and convertibles differ substantially in the amount of wood used. The sedan's inner doors. window frames and even the exposed headliner supports are made of wood. Meanwhile. the convertible's interior is more conventional. just about identical to that of the steel-bodied New Yorker. In 2010. the Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) recognized the Town and Country as a Full classic. Certainly. this alone has affected the values. along with the limited supply that is on todays market. Certainly destined to be a fantastic investment that can be thoroughly enjoyed for many years to come!!!This particular example appears to have been restored as necessary over the years. While it has had many many upgrades. it also has a LOT of originality too! While we have no documentation. or history. we can see that the windshield appears to be original. as is the rest of the glass. There is a Florida safety inspection sticker that was affixed in 1961. There are also several lube stickers affixed to the drivers door post from the early 1960's in Florida. indicating some originality here. I am told that the paint under the hood is also mostly original. Certainly. the Plaid Highlander Interior has been replaced. as it looks quite fresh and crisp. I would also guess that painting of the body has been done along with some minor wood repair. The chrome and brightwork are just Gorgeous with some VERY VERY light pitting deep in the small grille openings. Looking underneath the car. it appears that the engine and transmission have been removed and repainted. just a guess. but I would think that they were rebuilt when they were out. It also looks to me as if the body has been off. as the floors and frame are super clean and shiny. Very Very nice underneath with no rust. or patching evident. yet not nut and bolt detailed for concours. I have photos available for serious buyers. Mechanically. this Town and Country runs and drives excellent! Wheel Cylinders and hoses look fresh. It stops with ease!! Tires are good. as is the exhaust. The suspension feels tight. and the Fluid drive performs as designed. As with all classic and collectable vehicles. there is no warranty. We have a clean Pennsylvania title in the dealership name that reads exempt for mileage.
