Description:

1968 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500

Selling a neat little Chevrolet pickup in the desirable 68 short wide. This truck has been an on going project. It started life as a 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive but has been transformed into a 3/4 ton 4x4. The frame is from a K20 that has been shortened to fit the short bed. I did have the frame checked at a frame shop to verify it was done properly and is straight, o problems there. 350 small block, speed manual transmission, 'm told a Dana 60 front axle, orp 14 bolt rear and a Rockwell T221 transfer case. I not a 4x4 guy so I don't know, he pictures should verify. Power steering and power brakes, ront are disk. The engine does have an Eldelbrock manifold and carb, allory electronic distributor and headers, he rest of the mechanical appear to be stock. I was told by the previous owner the motor was rebuilt, didn't have it done nor do I know how many miles ago so I cannot verify what and when was done mechanically. The truck does run and drives well, oesn't smoke nor makes any odd noises, believe it's in good condition.
The good: All the hard work is done. Besides the 4x4 conversion it has fresh paint on a nice solid south west desert truck. The only rust I could find on the whole truck was a hole in one of the body reinforcements, 've included a picture of it. Floors, ockers and lower doors look rock solid. Bodywork looks good, he paint job is nice, efinished in the original light blue. It's actually almost too nice for a 4x4! Glass is good, ew windshield, ew bumpers. The interior was painted as well and features new reproduction factory style seat upholstery, inyl floor mat and dash pad. It does have an aftermarket tilt steering column and wheel. The bed floor and wheel wells are nice, ot all beat up and does have a spray in bedliner.
The bad. This is a project that still needs a little more work. Heater doesn't work, issing part of it. An aftermarket A/C, eat, efrost unit such as Vintage Air would be a nice addition. The emergency brakes need a cable and hooked up. No radio or speakers, he dash has been cut for a deck and there are holes for speakers cut in the doors. It needs tires, he ones on it have decent tread left but are old and pretty dry rotted. The rims are old and dingy, ight clean up. I wanted to put some 17" polished Baja's with some 33's but not in the budget, ou can put on your own flavor of style/ size. It is missing some trim around the grill and tail gate. Some of the other trim could be replaced to bring the truck up to a show standards, robably ok for a driver. The door windows need some new felts and the regulators cleaned and lubed.
Overall, neat project. It has a great look, raws lot's of attention everywhere it goes. I have never taken it off road but I'll bet it's pretty good at it, hould be about bulletproof! The good thing is you can drive and enjoy it now while you tinker fixing up the few items left and your investment will grow in value, hey have been selling real well at the classic car auctions. I want to finish it but with 3 other projects something has to go. Feel free to call 505-453-4760 for more information or to see in person, he truck is in Albuquerque, M.
We will gladly assist but shipping arrangements and cost will be the responsibility of the buyer. A $500 deposit via Pay Pal is expected within 48 hrs of auction close and balance within 7 days. Thanks for looking!
