This 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport has the original engine and transmission it was born with. I know this because the last 6 digits of the V.I.N. are stamped into both. The underside of this car is extremely solid and had only minor surface rust before I coated everything with various chemicals in order to preserve this amazing car for future generations. I have the original cylinder heads, 4 barrel intake manifold, points distributor and carburetor along with the air cleaner and all 4 original 14"x 7 SS rallye wheels with trim rings and center caps and the original front sway bar and will include all that with the sale. The previous owner changed it from the front bench seat column shift it was born with to the correct for 73 swivel bucket center console floor shift it is now. When you decode the body tag it shows the car was originally white with neutral interior and the front bench seat. The air conditioning does work nicely with a full charge of R-12 in it but there is a slow leak somewhere and every season I have to recharge it. Also there's a small transmission fluid leak somewhere which requires me to add about a half quart of fluid every few hundred miles. The only other annoying thing is the fact that the dash pad is cracked near the front speaker grille holes. If it weren't for the very small transmission fluid leak, the very small refrigerant leak and the cracked dash pad this car would be perfect. When I got it about 7 years ago I upgraded the engine by adding flat top pistons, 7 qt oil pan, high volume oil pump, summit racing SME-K-355-400 top end kit, Holley 650 dual feed mechanical secondaries electric choke carb, MSD ignition system, Summit Racing ceramic coated headers, Thrush Hush Turbo mufflers and a custom 2 1/2" exhaust system with H-pipe and a Yukon posi unit with 3:42 gears. It wears 15x10 and 15x8 corvette rally wheels with no rubs anywhere. This really is a great running and driving car. If you have any questions please call me at 716-242-9576.
