1971 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500

1971 Chevrolet K10 Long Bed Stepside. NE New Mexico Ranch truck. Runs and drives. Very rare specification for 71 lwb k10 stepside chassis total production was 364.Up for sale is my 1971 K10 M/T Lwb Stepside affectionately named Col. Mustard.I've owned the truck for 3 years now and Its taken myself and my kids on many adventures. Its original to this area and the dents, dings, rust, patina and over all look show the 54 years of life spent on a ranch. The truck spent most of its life on its original ranch and was bought for a young man in the early 2000's. He tipped the truck over into a snow bank and it sat for a good spell of time. I was alerted to a truck needing an engine and after the swap was done I viewed the truck and bought it on the spot. The original engine was stuck (350) and a 69 camaro 307 was installed in its place. This is a wonderful survivor truck and I have lots of interest from people for that reason. I would happily jump in the truck despite being 54 years old and drive it anywhere. Its far from perfect but treats me well enough.Would I restore this truck? I myself wouldn't. I would fix all the little odds and ends and drive it daily. Maybe a better or more modern engine but nothing wild. The world doesn't need another $180k garage queen. It needs more of these trucks out in the wild that are obtainable for future generations to enjoy. It got upper windshield rust that's bad from its time sitting dormant and although being in a dry climate the mice nests cause this rust. Its got some rust in the bed and the bed floor needs a full replacement. There's been rocker placement (brazed) sometime long ago and there is rust above that in the cab on the drivers side.I had to abandon the heater core last winter as it was starting to leak and I've never had time to replace it. The truck will need odds and ends but everything up to this point has been easy and cheap to fix.Its well documented that this chassis is 1 of 364 built for 1971. My monkey brain made me buy it because of "I guess I had never seen one like this" and after some research it made sense.1/2-Ton Commercial 4x4 - Model K/Series 10 - 127-in. w.bMODEL BODY TYPE PRICE/WEIGHT/PROD.TOTALKS10904 Step-Side 8ft 3451/3832/364I can help setup shipping, I will gladly answer any and all questions potential customers may have concerning the truck.
