1951 Chevrolet 3100

This all original unrestored 1951 Chevrolet 3100 is a vintage example of these pickups. I have had it for 17 years and was a neighbor with the previous owner who had it for decades. It has mostly been used as a work and weekend truck that never left town. I had it repainted a decade ago. It was originally a base model in green. Some Deluxe model stainless decorative trim was added to the interior at some point. This is not a Hot Rod! Mostly driven at 60 mph or less. These original Advanced Design trucks were designed for farmers and steep gravel roads when needed. Hense the Low-Low first gear that was standard on these vehicles. They will roll over if turned sharply at speed. That’s why there are so many spare parts, The previous owners’ friend rolled his! Bias-ply tires and 4 speed (3 plus low-low) manual transmission. Everything works except cigar lighter, and PO installed a slow 12 volt heater fan in this 6 volt vehicle foolishly. Replacement fan and lighter incuded. Double batteries, (both new,)in original rack mean extra battery is handy and quick to switch if needed. I had no issues with the 6v system myself but it was not used in cold weather. Halogen headlights were a big improvement! Manual choke works, manual throttle disconnected. Engine rebuilt by machine shop 6000mi ago, kingpins done, rear axles, bearings, seals and brakes done recently along with master cylinder replacement. Extra wheel and front bumper apron included as is tool box. Many spare parts including some not shown in photos. Including new voltage regulator, rebuilt or rebuildable starter, generator, fuel pump, water pump, carborator, distributor, exhaust manifold, master cylinder, wiper motor.
