This 1968 Chevrolet Caprice is an original beauty that has been well-maintained by its current owner. The vehicle is still drivable and is even used as a daily driver. It features a beautiful brown color and has a clean title, making it a great addition to any collection. With only 999999 miles on it, this Caprice is in excellent shape and is sure to turn heads.

Here’s your chance to own a really “rare” 427 1968 Chevrolet 6 Passenger Caprice Estate wagon. ORIGINAL numbers matching 427

Probably one of the only left unrestored. Originally Ash Gold (green metallic )with w/ wood grain and black interior.

So far what’s been done:

TH400 professionally rebuilt with new torque

converter new u joints, new exhaust, not original Quadrajet carb also professionally rebuilt

Front end rebuilt new ball joints, tie rods, upper and lower control arm bushings. Front brake calipers rebuilt, front brake pads replaced, wheel bearings repacked and new wheel seals. Front end was also aligned. All 3 rubber brake hoses replaced and rear wheel cylinders.

Interior was stripped out (not the dash) it was cleaned and painted the floors are super solid (no rust and sound deadend). Front and rear seat professionally recovered, new carpet, rear 1/4 interior panels recovered, and rear metal interior panels stripped and painted.

This is a driver. It still needs work to be perfect but runs and drives well. It does puff some smoke at times and probably needs an engine rebuild at some point but you can drive it as is like I am doing.

It needs a headliner, door panels, and the dash cleaned up for the interior to be perfect.

Outside is obvious what it needs but all the trim is there and in good shape. (damage to LH front fender trim but I believe to be fixable) Not much rust but some. Spare tire well, front passenger rear bottom of fender and a couple small spots on 1/4 panel above the rear wheels.
