1970 Chevrolet Corvette LT-1
The LT-1 high performance 350/370HP engine was re-built to original specifications with numbers matching.It has an M21 close ratio 4 speed transmission, transistorized ignition, correct intake, and 4 barrel Holly carburetor...also high performance heads and solid lifter cam. The radiator is a new 1970 Corvette aluminum DeWitt Direct Fit. It rides on new tires and has a new spare tire as well. The gauges and clock all work. It has a new 1970 Corvette Classic Car reproduction radio. This Corvette has been restored to its original Donneybrook Green exterior and new green vinyl interior. The 1970 LT--1 was the last of the high compression (11:1), high performance engines before the de-tunning of the 1971 Corvettes and later making the 1970 LT-1 a very desirable Corvette. This is an early 1970 (194370S402578) performance Corvette so there is no power steering nor power brakes. The frame off restoration was completed with all major components replaced or repaired. This is an enjoyable car to drive and a head turner at cruise-ins. This 1970 LT-1 Chevrolet Corvette was sold to a re-builder in Kansas 2003 with an odometer reading of 65019. I purchased the car after it was completed in 2018 with an odometer reading of 66060. It currently has an odometer reading of 67557 miles, therefore 2536 miles since the frame off restoration.The car has been restored with a rebuilt title (Kansas 2007) as a result of an engine fire in the early 1990's.
