Meet Lucille. She’s a lovely lady who’d like a new owner that has a bit more time to enjoy her. While I absolutely love this truck, my time to drive and enjoy her has gotten pretty limited.Lucille is not a show ready truck, but she’ll turn heads. She’s in really good condition, but has some blemishes that come with a bit of time.Always garage kept since I’ve owned her, she was restored a little over 20 years ago. Lucille sits on top of a ‘78-‘79 Camaro chassis. She’s got a 350 small block and a 3 speed automatic turbo transmission (with lock-up torque converter) that I believe was from an early ‘80s Corvette. Odometer says 6000+ miles since her restoration. She starts up like a champ and could certainly be a daily driver if you’d like. Lucille has a custom red oak dash and instrument panel.I recently had the following done:Full tune-up with new spark plugsCarburetor cleaned and adjustedNew brass radiator, hoses and system flushFront disc and rear drums completely rebuiltVintage Air A/C blower fan replaced (system recharged). She’s got an upgraded aluminum exhaust that sounds incredible, power steering, and headlights and blinkers that all work. Some things that could use some work:New bed wood. I have the stainless steel railing. Just need to add wood. Currently have a thick sheet of pressure treated plywood in the bed.Could use some new shocks. She’d be a smooth sweet ride with them.Like all old trucks, there are a couple of minor leaks with oil (from the oil pan bolt) and transmission. Honestly, should be easy fixes. She’s got fiberglass fenders and a bit of rust, but nothing major. With some more TLC, she’d be ready to go.She’s a perfect “Christmas truck.” In fact, she’s been used for family photos, parades and fundraisers especially around the holidays.Clean Texas title and registration/inspection (yes, you’ll have to get her re-registered, titled and license plates). But like I said, she’s ready to roll.
