I attempted to sell this 1972 Nova via auction through another website in the past, but the winner bidder ended up not having the funds to complete the purchase when the time came to remit payment. Those who have carefully inspected the car/photos of the car during my previous attempt to sell the vehicle observed the following issues with the car:
  • Rust on the passenger side rear quarter panel indicates the entire quarter panel/outer wheelhouse likely needs replacement. Please see photos of the rust in the listing. Near the visible rust, a refrigerator magnet will not stick/adhere to the car for a portion of the quarter panel.
  • The black stripe graphic on the hood is unsightly. Its removal would likely mean repainting would be needed.
  • The tires are mismatched from side to side.
  • The original steering wheel is not currently installed in the car. We do have the original steering wheel and can send to the buyer.
  • The two headlamp surround trims and the "350" badges are not currently installed. We have these and can send to the buyer.
  • There is a seam separation on the driver's side of the front seat
The vehicle hasn't left the garage in the last five years except to be photographed in our driveway, but it does start, run, and drive. We're selling the car because it was my father's who planned to do something with it in retirement, but he unfortunately passed away in 2021.The car's previous owner had put 37,531 miles on the odometer by the time they sold it to my family in the 1990s. Current odometer reading is 47,236 (i.e. we've driven it less than 10,000 miles in the last 30 years).Headlamps light up. Windows roll down without issue. Locks function.Local bidders are encouraged to reach out to schedule an in-person inspection. All bidders are encouraged to search this car on the internet and to review records of my previous auction attempt (which includes the usual peanut gallery comments from potential bidders pointing out their honest takes on the condition of the car, as well as more pictures).Payment via wire transfer only. Clean title and bill of sale will be sent to the winning bidder after the transferred funds are received. Buyer must arrange pickup or transit to their address at their own expense within two weeks of auction end.
