1969 Chevy C10 truck: original paint, built up 350ci V8
1969 Chevrolet C-10
Note: attached video is a COLD start. This engine is a beast. :-) 1969 Chevy C10 Pickup: with 350ci V8, Holley Brawler carburator (and other engine updates), rally wheels, new battery, several updates inside and out. "3 on the tree" (3-speed auto) was converted to "3 on the floor" (3-speed manual) by a previous owner. Odometer reads 56,600 miles: it has a clear title, no derogatory info, but the previous title issued was "exempt," so it's hard to know whether the correct mileage involves zero, one or two turns of the ODO. Fleet-side long bed. No corrosion on frame or frame supports. Background:I bought this truck approx 2 years ago from a Texas owner, with the intention of doing a complete resto-mod restoration (at the same time I bought another classic truck for sale, but not listed here, a '73 International 1010). The plan included dropping it (chopped springs or airbags), swapping in a modern LSI engine, and rebuilding as a gun-metal grey lowrider. Comparable C10 trucks with that sort of build have sold for $60k to $110k on BringATrailer.com. Some concept art attached as the final photos above. I trailered it here to Shreveport, drove it down my driveway...and then haven't had the time to pay attention to it, much less start the restoration. At the time of purchase it drove well: I took it up on the highway to ~75mph, but have driven it little since bringing it to town. Last month we re-validated the charging system - and installed a new battery. This month (8/14/24) we did the same for the fuel system: pulled and sonic-cleaned the tank, replaced fuel lines, pulled/cleaned/serviced/adjusted the carburetor. Now it runs like the race-built beast it is (that is...it will spin the tires hard on a launch). As you'll note in the engine photo, there have been some dress-up items added in the engine bay, adjustable fuel regulator and filters, and the previous owner told me that he paid for a top-end rebuild approx 3 years earlier. LOTS of incremental replacement parts added 2 owners ago, throughout the truck, approx 2009-2011 (we have his written log of those updates - picts above). Interior has new carpets and bench seat. In general the body and frame are straight, floor pans are good, there is some corrosion at the door sills, above the windshield, and here and there, but no major rot or major metalwork needed. Have under carriage picts if you'd like them. I am now over-committed by business, have a wedding to plan for, and know I wont be able to do anything with this any time in the near future...so I'd like to sell it to someone who CAN do the rebuild. Please reach out to discuss: more details available. (Also, as I mentioned above, I have a 1973 International 1010 Stepside Pickup truck that we intended to rebuild as a dropped "Scout" street drag truck. Asking $7k for that one, but not listed here....which makes sense for the buyer as well, because they can drop the Chevy V8 into the IHC and come out way ahead on value.) Thanks!
