1974 Chevrolet C-10
I'm selling my late uncle's 1974 Chevrolet C10 1/2 ton pickup as-is with everything you see in the photos and an additional set of 4 wheels with tires not in the photos. My uncle parked this in its present spot over 10 years ago and it never moved again. As you can see in the photos, animals have made a lair out of the engine bay and chewed some wiring up. I have no reason to think that the crankshaft would not spin freely as the engine ran fine when it was last run, it just was never used again... My uncle was an electrician in the Navy and he made a number of modifications to the electrical systems in the pickup and added a number of things, I don't know much more than that. He used this to tow a travel trailer around in the 1980's, the odometer reads "6769.6" However, it does not show the hundreds of thousands digit, and I'm guessing the odometer has rolled over 100,000 at least once, if not twice. I don't think this has over 300,000 miles on it, but I really don't know. I don't think the engine or transmission has ever been overhauled, but no guarantees there either. There are still old military decals from the 1980's present on parts of it. I have a few more photos that I can send if interested, I'm not at the location of the vehicle so I will be unable to show the vehicle or get anything more than I have, I'll just answer any questions as best I can. I will meet you there for the coordinated pickup time.I used this to decode the vin:http://www.vinwiz.com/1972-1980gmtruck.php?vin=CCZ144S190111Now the bad news, we don't have keys. We were able to "get inside" the cab and back, but we have no clue what my late uncle did with the keys, too bad we can't ask, lol. At any rate, the tires on the pickup are all bad, it's stuck in park, and it has sunk into the ground. When you come to get it, be prepared. We don't have any means of pulling it out at this time, it will require a tow truck or tools on your part. I'll be happy to help as much as I can though. As far as payment, no payment required up front, that can be handled when you pick it up, however, this will need to occur during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, morning is best) as Oklahoma is a notary state and this does have a clean title ( in my aunt's name, she will sign it) that we will need to go to the local bank to transfer funds and the title. I'd be happy to coordinate with you after the auction. Please ask as many questions as you'd like and I'll answer as best I can. Thanks for looking!
