Vehicle Details
Up for auction is a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette. My dad purchased this car September 18, 1976 at the Hoosier Auto Show in Indianapolis. Dad drove it home 2 hours and parked it and never drove it again. The sticker is still in the windshield when he bought it. The car has a 1962 Chevrolet 327 motor with an automatic transmission. Car was an original 4-speed with clutch pedal still intact. Car starts and runs, and goes into forward and reverse. I have not driven the car because of a low brake pedal and 50 year old tires. The car was repainted white some time ago and has imperfections and fading. I don’t know the original color, but does show crown sapphire in the trunk and hood jams. the frame and under side are very nice with no rust. The interior is decent but the dash has some cracks. Car has original gauges and radio that does not seem to work at this time. Car has the hard top and also the soft top that will need the fabric replaced. Car has the fuel injection emblems on the fenders that look like they have been there from the factory. I cannot prove it was a original factory fuel injection car. This car is very complete and will take very little to get back on the road. Car has a clean Indiana title with miles exempt. Call Bob at 219-741-3661 with any questions.
