Vehicle Details

1986 Chevrolet Silverado shortbed C10Up for grabs is this 86 SWB. I bought this truck in June of 2018 with the intent of upgrading and using as my daily driver. Since then many thousands of dollars have been invested. I haven’t driven the truck in a while, but I do get it around the block once or twice a month to keep everything moving. Odometer shows 91k miles, True mileage unkown.Drivetrain:350 engine and 700R4 auto trans. Original 305 was replaced with 350 under prior ownership. Engine starts and runs well, trans shifts good but does have a leak. I believe the leak is coming from the tailshaft seal. A/C worked great when I bought it. I drove it 20 miles home in June…112 degrees outside and AC was quite comfortable. Now it cycles on and off pretty much constantly. Mechanic diagnosed as leak in system. Leak needs to be found and repaired, then recharged.Exterior:This truck shows very well, but is a 5-10 footer. Don’t expect a show quality truck, but I can tell you that the few times I’ve had it out it gets a ton of attention. This Arizona truck has no rust anywhere. The frame and body are rock solid. Many new parts installed including wheel well trim, front end trim, lower valance, wheels and tires, and more. The weather seal around the back window has a crack and should be replaced. My intent was to have a spray in bed liner installed, but never got around to that.Interior:Many new components. New Leather seats, carpet, dash, dash bezel, steering wheel, door panels, stereo, speakers…etc. It does have a console from and old wrecked K5 that I bought and restored to match interior. Console is outfitted with a USB drive to connect your phone to the stereo. USB is not yet connected to stereo, need to run the wire under the carpet to the back of the stereo. One of the nicest interiors that I’ve seen in one of these old trucks.Needs:As mentioned before, this truck runs, drives, stops and steers as it should. With that, a couple of items that need to be addressed:Trans leak (potentially tailshaft seal)Broken wheel stud on front drivers sideRear window weatherstripAC leak repairInterior light not currently working. Was previously working, I suspect a fuse has blown.Payment methods/misc:Cash in person, Cahiers check, Wire transfer.Truck absolutely will not leave until payment is confirmed. I welcome and encourage pre-bid inspections. I have worked with a couple of shipping companies that I can recommend.I also have the body side moldings new in the package that I will include. (not yet installed)
