Satisfaction guaranteed or you do not have to buy this Impala. Here is that 1970 Muscle car you have been looking for. This Impala runs/drives handles as it should with only a little over 100 thousand miles.
I have a clean clear title in hand.This old classic is about as long as a school bus! They just don't make cars likethis anymore!
This survivor has 119,000 miles. Could be a couple hundred more because when I first got this car thespeedometer worked.
This car has not spent a night outside in the last 8 years because it has been in storage.
You can absolutely drive this car home. It has no leaks, runs drives, idles great. The 400 small block starts right up and purrs. When and if you punch it the 400 ft lbs of torque this engine makes will put on a great smoke show from the rear tires! This car has a 400 turbo transmission which is usually put behind big blocks and high performance cars because the 400 transmission is extra strong and most likely one of the toughest transmissions gm ever produced back in the 70s. To go along with the 400 engine and 400 transmission ithas a 12 Bolt rear differential which is one of the strongest rear ends that gm made in the 60s and 70s. If they would have had an SS in 1970 this car would have surely been one! I am pretty sure someone had to special order this car this way because gm did not put the 400 sb and 400 turbo and 12 bolt rear ends in unless the customer wanted it special order!
The Impala has two spots of rust that should be patched. The passengers side footwell and the backseat area behind the driver have rust holes. Besides the two spots I talked about the rest of the car is rust free.
I treated the two areas with POR15 which kills rust. I patched the passengers side so its good to go. The backseat behind the driver is not as bad but could still use a patch.
There is PLENTY of good solid steel to weld to if you want to patch it.
All the lights work. Wipers work. Windows roll up and down with ease. Cigarette lighter works. Tires were new bout 4 years ago and have only a fewhundred miles at most.
Horn does not work. Prolly something simple, i did not mess with it. Fuel gauge reads full all the time. Impala does come with a new fuel sender you just have to install it.
Front and back seats were had been recovered several years ago but stilllook really good. Comes with new carpet for front and back. I had the seat out and attempted to install the new carpet but I am a mechanic not an upholstery person so I folded the carpet up and put it back in the rust free trunk and left it for someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to installing carpet!!
Doors trunk open and shut like new. As you can see the car has a non matching hood.The car does come with thefactory hood (see pics) but the original hood had some issues and the one on it now is better.
