Up for sale is my 1968 C-10 factory short bed. For people in the know you may have seen this truck around over the years. This truck largely has its original paint and is mostly rust free for a original unmolested truck that was sold new in Tennessee. It's continued to spend its entire life in the southeastern U.S. Yes it has it's bumps and bruises but to me this is near patina perfection. Don't let that natural Patina fool you this truck is truly a wolf in sheep's clothing. Mechanically there is nothing stock about this truck. Listed below are some of the highlights.
Engine - The engine is a Gen IV 5.3 LS with a BTR stage 2 blower cam. Coupled with a P1SC Pro Charger this combo made 491 WHP on a mild tune. It has Holley Cast manifolds with custom stainless exhaust exiting through Borla XS Pro mufflers.
Transmission - Is a Built 4L65E
Suspension - Full Ride Tech coil over suspension front and rear with Ride Tech control arms upper and lower as well as rear trailing arms. Ride Tech front sway bar as well. The truck has a new one piece drive shaft as well a New Borgeson steering box. Power steering and front disc brakes with drum rear.
Rear End - New 3.42 ring and pinion with posi and strange axles.
Vintage Air - Ice Cold
Dakota Digital Gauges - Yes all gauges and turn signal indicators work as well as the Horn. Yes that includes a working gas gauge!
Interior- new seat covers on Buddy Buckets with new black carpet and floor mats. Boss bluetooth audio which sounds great.
This is a super reliable great driving truck to cruise around in or blow the tires off if you feel the need to. I know one thing when you roll up in the parking lot with the Pro Charger whistling they will know somethings up!
Lastly if you are familiar with the components used in building this truck much less the cost of a clean original short bed. You will then realize what has been spent on this truck. You will also realize you could not begin to build it for the price.
