1985 Chevrolet Camaro

This is a nice 54,336-mile 1985 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z28. It was stored for many years, but I am unsure as to how many. The current owner replaced the original fuel tank and changed the oil. The car started right up. This is a real factory Black paint with T-tops IROC. Refer to the Hagerty Value Guide and you will see that the 1985 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z28 in good condition is trending at $20,400. As to the mileage, I believe it to be original but with no documentation, the IROC is being sold mileage exempt.

Exterior: This 1987 Chevrolet IROC Camaro Z28 appears to still retain all the rust free, factory original body panels. The black paint appears to be original but does have some dings, blemishes and scrapes here and there. The trim is in good condition as well as all the glass. The door handles and the side mirrors are also in good condition. Marker lights, taillights and bezels are all acceptable. All rims are original, but the mounted tires should be replaced. The T-tops are exceptionally good and do not rattle or leak to my knowledge.

Interior: The interior appears to be original and in good condition. The carpet as well as the door panels are in good condition. The dash has no warping, cracks or fading. The center console looks great with no cracks or staining and houses the factory and working clock. All factory belts are present and in good condition. Electric door locks and power windows are in good working order. All gauges are working except for the fuel gauge. I am sure it is the sending unit. (A new gas tank was installed due to the time that the IROC was stored, and the sending unit was not replaced.) Unsure if the A/C works or not.

Engine: What appears to be the original engine sits beautifully in the engine bay. There are no messy engine leaks or annoying exhaust puffing sounds within this Camaro’s engine compartment and the overall look is clean and neat in appearance.

Transmission: The 4-speed automatic transmission appears to be the factory original. There are no leaks or funny noises, and the transmission shifts up and down through the gears as it should with no issues.

Trunk: The trunk area is in particularly good condition with the optional shade present and working. The leather T-top slipcover is present. The original spare tire and jack assembly is present. The rear window looks to be cracked but it is not. The rear window was covered with a tint material that has started to shift and should be removed.

Undercarriage: The undercarriage is genuinely nice showing no signs of rust or rot. Look at the extensive undercarriage photos which will display the undercarriage condition better than any description that I can conger up.

FYI:This 1985 Chevrolet IROC Camaro Z28 does not have a Maine Title as Maine does not issue titles for vehicles that are more than (15) years old. The car will come with a Bill-of-Sale and a current Maine Registration.
