Description:

1986 Chevrolet C20

I purchased this truck new. It was a special order due to the interior color, options and the manual transmission being a 4-speed with compound low. For those not familiar with a compound trans. it has no synchro's in 1st gear. You need to stop and put it into 1st gear to use 1st gear. Boy it pulls like a BEAST in compound low. It makes the truck think its a 4x4. You only use three gears most of the time that have the synchro's. I added chrome diamond H-duty bumpers with "Stepped-Ball-Hitch" on rear reinforced bumper, Stainless camper mirrors, AM, FM cassette (yes cassette), chrome gear shift, dual 20 gallon fuel tanks, A.C., with Silverado trim. It came out so stunning, the Dealer put it in their new model car show. It's a bit dirty now but the paint is in very good condition (no fading).
There is no body damage. It has never been in a accident. There is no rust. It has been garaged most of the time for 20 years. I only used it to go to the local dump since replacing the engine with Chevy crate 454. Chevy also inspected the tranny, replaced the clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing. All engine accessories replaced, belts and hoses replaced. The dump is a few miles away, so has no more than 800 miles (at the very most) on the new crate engine.
It has custom rims and tires. I also have the stock steels that are part of the offering. I will try to find the hubcaps: no promises.
The truck starts and runs very nice. I start it up occasionally. Over time the trans seal and diff, seals leaked so most if not all of the oil is gone. I know, I cleaned the floor up several times. I would not drive the vehicle in that condition. It has been garaged since the leaks showed up. The registration is not current. A transport company will need to be used at Buyer's expense. The truck is garaged in California Central Coast at zip 93436. Transportation cost will be estimated and paid for by the Buyer.
You are asking why didn't I sell this earlier, right. It's became part of my family. But its not doing the truck justice not to get it back on the road for a couple of seals and oil. This is a painful event for me.
In closing, the dash pad needs to be replaced. The seats have no rips or tears.
Looking for a good home and family to join.
