1955 Chevrolet Corvette Standard
This was number 420 of 700 1955 Corvettes. I purchased 420 in 2015 and have spent nine years gathering and repairing the parts to complete this vehicle. It is a restomod. It has a hand crafted laser leveled boxed steel powder coated chassis with 1996 Corvette powder coated polybushed suspension. Uses full batwing bushed rearend to hang IRS for a quieter ride. Bilstein shocks. Stainless brake lines from Corvette Correction. New wheel bearings, slotted rotors, and Lone Star Calipers. The rack is also from Lone Star. It rides on 17” OE Corvette wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich G force tires. The engine and transmission are a brand new LS3 430HP Connect and Cruise package with a T56 Magnum engaged with a hydraulic throw out. Dewitt’s radiator. Vintage Air Front Runner. The Brakes are controlled with an electric booster. Fuel is stored in a Tanks INC pre-equipped with pump and sender. Steering wheel is attached to an Ididit column made specifically for Billy Dawson at Corvette Correction. See pictures in other for a complete priced listing. The body has a new Stinger frontend bonded to it with a new core support. Original Penant Blue Car. I took it down to the gel coat with 400 grit wet sand. The original flat hood has been replaced with a 1957 Corvette Windsplit hood actuated on custom billet hinges. The doors are hung and latched with new OEM hinges and latches. All of the door hardware is there. The 420 comes with its original top frame (super excellent) with all its hardware. The body has new exhaust bungs, but still needs finishing on both rear quarters. The spare tire well has been modified to accommodate the independent rear suspension. All the trim is there and the chrome is fresh…..bumpers, grill, grill oval, window upper and lower frame, unbroken tab windshield posts with new chrome, all the side trim, gulls rechromed, speedo and radio grill rechromed, spent $22k on trim and 6 years to gather it up piece by piece. Have all of the interior fiberglass trim pieces ready to recover. No seats. Was going to have AL Knoch make those. $10,000 immediate deposit. Full payment in 10 days before pickup.
