1976 Chevrolet Corvette

I need the space for other projects, so up for auction is a classic 1976 corvette. I originally purchased this car in Florida in 1994. It was driven regularly until about 2008. It shows well, but hasn't been on the road in about 10 years and will need restoring to bring back to driving condition. Front and rear bumpers are missing some paint, but otherwise exterior looks good. The car was painted in 2000 and interior carpet and dash replaced at that time. Seats were partially reupholstered at that time with cloth inserts sewn over the original leather. Odometer has rolled over, mileage not accurate. Original engine is tired, but still cranks up reliably. Transmission seals have dried out over the past couple of years its been sitting and the car will no longer move under its own power. Otherwise, the transmission is mechanically fine and could be rebuilt or replaced pretty inexpensively. The brakes are soft and brake calipers may need replacing. I've replaced them previously several times. The original quadra-jet carb was replaced with a 1990s era Holly throttle body fuel injection system. The Holly is now ancient but still works. It was a bolt on replacement and could be upgraded with a newer fuel injection system or with the old original carburetor. I misplaced the original carb over the years, but do have some other odds and ends to include with the car such as a set of new stainless steel replacement brake lines, and a one-piece lexan top. This car has a Washington state title but is now located in California. The title is clean but the buyer will need to transfer title to whatever state the car is destined for. It was last registered in 2010. If kept in California, I don't know how or if the car will pass emissions. It does have whatever original equipment it came with in 1976, but that may not meet California standards, I've never looked into that. It has true duel exhausts with duel catalytic converters that passed emissions testing many years ago when I lived in Florida. No guarantees that they still work after all these years.Basically, if you buy this car, you are buying something that will need going over from engine to transmission to running gear. This would be a great project for somebody who likes the C3 bodies and wants to build up a classic car dating to the bicentennial.
