This is a very solid old 1957 Chevrolet 210 (not a Bel Air) Two Door Post that has been a Hot Rod since the 70s here in Southern California. If this car could tell it's own stories, I think you would be sitting around the garage for hours listening. It is just plain cool. It has a 327 cubic inch V-8 small block Chevy mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. It has an Edelbrock Crossram dual Quad intake with twin Carter carburetors. The car has been in storage for years so I guess you could consider it a Barn Find, although it was actually in a Parking Garage storage facility in San Diego. It now starts, runs, stops, shifts, and moves but it would certainly need to be gone over before any regular use. I would absolutely trailer it home. It has good oil pressure. It really just needs a little time spent on it, not a lot of money spent on it.
The body is in great condition. It is very solid and very straight. There is no rust on the body. The floorboards, frame, and trunk are all very nice. You won't find one this clean back East.It has older custom silver paint with heavy metallic in it. The rear trim is heavy flake red. The paint has a nice patina to it but obviously there are plenty of imperfections in it. The car is very complete and also has a ton of extra parts (more than just what you see in the trunk picture) that are included in the sale. I also have the spears for the front of the hood. The 57 has original CA black/yellow license plates.
Hoosier Quick Time tires on the rear mounted on Steelies with Dog Dish caps. Nitto drag radials on the front. Bucket seats, custom door panels (the fronts need to be installed), new door and window handles to install, no headliner, no carpet. The driver's side window is cracked but still functions fine. I have extra glass for it as well. Velocity stacks but they would need to be modified to clear the hood and to fit. This thing just has so much character, everybody loves this car. Clean, clear California title in hand. If you can find a more solid 57 for the money, you should buy it.
