1984 Chevrolet Blazer

This classic full size Square Body 2 door 1984 Chevrolet Blazer K5 is becoming a modern classic.

Restoration is in progress and there are still various items to do to make it show worthy. But it is close to being a good Driver depending on the level of modern comforts desired.

The classic Square Body details from the 1973-1991 design era are all here, highlighted by the removable half shell top. New rubber gaskets for the top have been installed and the top appears to be original. Other 80s truck details included two chrome bumpers (rear is new), folding large side mirrors, 4 square headlights, period correct front grill, 15 inch rally style wheels with 4WD caps and metal door handles.

New 33 inch B.F. Goodrich All Terrain tires (4) with minimal wear. White letter style, 33X12.50R15LT Size. Original wheels with all hubcap accessories.

Exterior color is solid White, with a White half shell top. Windshield has no cracks, installed new in 2022. Side and rear glass shows more wear and slight scratching but no cracks. Body is solid and does show minimal surface rust, particularly a recent spot on the rear tailgate.

Exterior appears to have been painted white in last 5-6 years, with a basic paint job, and shows slight patina from being parked outside. Exterior paint likely done due to left front body damages which was also repaired in a basic manner.

Silverado package, power steering, power brakes, power rear window. As noted, side power windows have been replaced with crank windows.

Interior is the highlight and was done in 2022. Period correct seats have been recovered, in a vintage cloth/vinyl style. Medium blue colors and front and rear seats match and were done at the same time. Interior door panels are custom made with blue and black accent pieces. Rear cargo panels professionally done and are black vinyl.

Interior electronics are in need of improvement. Speedometer working but other gauges (fuel, temperature) are not. Radio removed and there is a hole to put in whatever you like. Factory Air Conditioning was installed but has likely been disconnected/parts removed, so that needs attention.

Engine is 305 cubic inch [5.0L] V-8, original and paired with original automatic transmission and 4WD transfer case. Engine has been upgraded with MSD Atomic Fuel Injection installed October 2022. New starter, alternator, spark plugs, battery, cables installed. There are still some bugs in the system so it is not reliably running at this time, but a good mechanic could get it going in a short time. Mileage on the odometer (certainly rolled over at least once) is ?15,200.

Four Wheel Drive (standard on this Silverado model) appears to be in order but has not been tested. Two inch lift kit installed by previous owner gives it a nice stance with the 33 inch tires on 15 inch original rally style wheels. Six Dick Cepek Racing shock absorbers (piston) installed likely at same time as 2 inch lift installed.

Undercarriage (generally original) has surface rust from 40 years. Exhaust appears to be stock and also has mild surface rust. Steering is average and has probably had some general maintenance Brakes are operational and are average quality.
