1968 Chevrolet Impala Convertible 327 TH400
1968 Chevrolet Impala
Vehicle Details
We are selling this one-owner 1968 Impala convertible project. Sitting since 1976 indoors, it is a great builder. Cordovan maroon with optional black top, and parchment bench seat interior.327/275 TH400. Nicely optioned, including front & rear bumper guards, auxiliary lighting, AM radio with optional rear antenna, deluxe belts, power seat, power windows, remote mirror, fender skirts, power steering and brakes. Top end of engine was taken apart and never put back together. All original engine parts remain with the car. Engine transmission and axle are all original to the car. Very straight car with excellent panel and bumper alignment, as it has never been in an accident. Typical New England body rust to the outer panels, but better than most, as it sat indoors for so many years. Floors may need minor work in spots but full replacement is not necessary. Windshield channel and cowl appear rock solid. We found one soft spot on the frame towards the LH corner forward of the rear wheel, which is not affecting structural integrity and can be easily fixed. Rally wheels in pictures are not included. The car will be sold with its original steel wheels with tires that will hold air for transport. Car is located in Hebron Maine 04238 and sold on a Maine bill of sale, as-is, with no warranties or guarantees. Maine did not use titles on vehicles back then, so it has never been titled, and can easily be registered into a title state.
