1955 CHEVY / HOT ROD / RESTO-MOD LS6, 4L60E
1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210
1955 Chevrolet 210 Resto mod for sale
Pictures don't do this car justice.
The whole car has recently been ceramic coated with the 5-year coating. The custom interior was done in December of '22, and the Vintage Air Gen IV was installed in August of '22. The LS6 is from a 2004 Corvette Z06. The four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, 4L60E, was rebuilt at the time of install, late 2020, but I have no proof about the transmission rebuild, nor the low mileage LS6. The Ford 9" posi is fitted with 3:55 gears. The car starts and drives better than most. It will go as fast as you'd want to go in a 1955 Chevy out on the freeway. Tubular upper and lower control arms, rear spring hanger bushings new, CPP 500 Series power steering box. Lokar shifter and accelerator assembly.
The 18"- and 20"-inch wheels and knock off spinners are American Racing. The four-wheel power disc brakes stop the car with little effort with the hydro boost setup. The car was rewired, using an AAW unit The taillights are LED sequential. Everything else in the car I believe is pictured in the photos provided. The fiberglas coil covers, and the V8 emblems were airbrushed. The paint on this car is a "10". The only flaw in the paint is one tiny chip, the size of a pencil point, that I cannot capture in a picture, after touchup paint was applied. The black spots seen on the front of the hood in the main picture are bugs that I didn't realize would show when I decided to use that picture! The are NO swirls anywhere in the paint.
The chrome is a "10", the interior is a "10". The body on the car is a "10", and is laser straight, and all the glass is good!
The colors on the car are very similar to an Indian motorcycle, but I have not found a paint store that can give me an exact paint code. The YOM license plate is painted to match the car, and I do have the mate to it, that is restored and painted the correct color for a 1955 automobile registered in Texas. No rust other than minor surface rust in small places under the car, but the trunk floor does look to have been replaced.
I trailer the car to most car shows because I am lazy, but it could be driven anywhere. The car is a Resto mod, as the ad says, and I don't have the cowl tag, or any other tag, except for the VIN tag. The VIN is not a normal number for a 1955 Chevrolet, I do know that, but it came to me that way, and I have a clear title for the car with that VIN on it.As you can see, I am not a videographer by any stretch of the imagination. I most probably won't tell you what the reserve price is, but I would consider reasonable offers.
The only trade I am interested in would be a C8 CHT.
Please let me know if I can answer any questions or provide any other pictures. The 2022 18 foot all aluminum tilt Jim Glo trailer in the photos, could be made part of a package deal if anyone was interested. The trailer will not be sold until the car is sold. Since I can't post my phone number or email address, you should be able to reach me via Contact Seller. Thanks for looking.
