1955 Chevrolet Bel Air - with extremely rare factory AC!

This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air has a very very rare, FACTORY INSTALLED AC.

There is documented proof of this on the body plate on the cowl. (Not to mention the AC control panel and the air outlets on each side of the dashboard.)

According tosources, out of all the 1.8 million manufactured Chevrolets in 1955, the GM factory only installed AC units in less than 500 of these, some sources say 402! This AC system is not complete.

The cost in 1955 to have the factory AC installed was $565 - bear in mind the car it self cost about $2000.

This 1955 Bel Air was last used in daily traffic in 2007 and has been parked ever since.

It has a clear California title and current registration in my name.

It is not modified or cut up in any form and still has the original paint,India Ivory and Cashmere Blue.

The body is straight, the car is complete, the glass is useable, as is the chrome.

There is very little rust on this car, it has cancer in some floor pans and a minor area below the trunk in the ditch. The frame is solid.

The car comes with all five original steel wheels.

I have not tried to start the car, but the engine turns freely.

It rolls easy and still have functional brakes.

This Bel Air is a nice, unmolested classic Chevrolet, ready for a new life.

It is a solid and unique candidate for a full restoration - or save the patina and drive it as a beater.

The car is stored outside of Napa, California.
