Up for sale is this 1950 Chevrolet 5700 COE truck. I purchased this truck from the estate of an avid car/truck collector. It is a 1950 Chevy 5700 COE 2-ton 158" wheelbase with a 16,000 GVW. It has a 92-horsepower 235-cubic-inch gas 6-cylinder with a 4-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed rear axle. The previous owner purchased this truck in 1997 then began a full restoration on it. By 1998-99 he had it finished and was taking it around to shows and driving it locally. Around 2000, it got driven to and parked in storage until 2023, along with a couple other vehicles. The long term storage did have some cosmetic effect on the truck (paint cracking and some peeling also). Since coming out of storage, the engine was stuck and did not turn over. I brought the truck home and removed the engine and transmission to be able to work on it properly. The engine will need to be torn down completely and gone through. I did not do this because a lot of potential buyers would opt for a more powerful engine swap. This truck, as you can see in the current pics, is still very clean and other than the chipping and other paint flaws in some areas of the paint it is still a good looking piece. The interior is in very good condition with really nice glass and weather seals throughout the whole cab. I have lots of pics of the restoration. He did a great job on it. This would be a perfect candidate for a newer V-8 or diesel swap. The miles are original 37,425. It does come with the original engine and transmission, of course, but again they are already out of the truck and the engine will need gone through if you're looking to keep it all original. I have everything marked and tagged for all the mounting hardware to put engine back in the truck. The engine compartment is as clean as the rest of the frame, as you can see in the pics.
