1968 Chevrolet Corvette

Chevrolet Corvette.1968 C3; L79, 327ci / 350hp / 360ftlb torque,Muncie M21 close ratio 4spd, Warren Positraction rear end. This is the 1st yr. For the C3 corvette and the last year for the sought after High/Output, Hydraulic Cam 327ci V8. The metal bumper C3 corvettes are highly desirable and considered the next best investment in the classic corvette world. This is the last year for the L79 corvette, which is sought after because of its high performance and much lower weight than the big blocks. ‘68 is also the last year for the key on the dash before being moved to the steering column. This Vette is a very well kept original car down to the factory smog pump! The car was repainted prior to my 20 yrs of ownership. Came from the factory Corvette Bronze(2nd most popular color that year). It was repainted Lemans Blue( 1st most popular) This car gets a lot of attention, so if you don’t like attention…this may not be the car for you! ;-).There were 28,566 corvettes built in ‘68. 9,936 of them were coupes, roughly 1/3rd.9,440 of the 28,566 were L79 versions with roughly 1/3rd of those being coupes.Additionally this car has some limited production options that make it more desirable.SPEED WARNING INDICATOR (3,453of28,566)POWER WINDOWS(7,065of28,566)SOFT RAY TINTED GLASS WINDSHIELD(5,509of28,566)Full engine rebuild in 2008 Bored 30/Over. Clutch throw out bearing. Currently running Holley double pumper but have the original Rochester Quadrajet. HEI ignition added last year(great improvement!) also did rear control arms and bushings last year. Full brakes including correct Master Cylinder(2013) Tires have a couple thousand miles only. This car has been great to me four 20 yrs. Never left me sit, looks and drives wonderful. It is an attention getter and conversation starter…sounds really good… be warned!GOOD LUCK! You wont be disappointed.
