Are you looking for a great starter for a super popular LS engine swap? Consider this rust free Mississippi 1993 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado Standard Cab long bed project! The transmission went bad some years ago and to my dismay, it was replaced with another bad transmission. Yes, I was saddened but life continues. The wife says to wash my hands of it, lick my wounds and move on....I agreed. What you are starting out with is a running (but not driving because of the transmission) Chevrolet 1500 regular cab long bed former work truck. This truck is extremely complete. This Silverado is equipped with factory air, working power windows, power steering and brakes. THE MOTOR RUNS FINE. V8 power. When you install your battery and turn the key, it will fire right up without troublesome knocking, ticking, or smoking. There are no warning lights that are activated on the dash - no check engine, brake lights, etc. If you pull the motor, I cant see why you could not get a few hundred dollars to put towards the LS swap if that is the direction you want to go. How about a Tremec transmission conversion? The super solid body, and frame is where you will see the great value. You have seen the trucks with floors that have so much rust that you can see the ground but this is NOT that truck. This truck spent its life in Mississippi. Examine the photos carefully. The doors, rockers, and frame look fine. No need to look for a $300 windshield, this one is not cracked. There is a dime sized bullseye in the far lower right side that you really have to look for to be noticed. The dash looks very presentable. The left side of the driver's seat has a small rip. The truck tool box shown is NOT included but you will get the bed rails. Of course you need to do regular restoration work to get it ready to put back on the road if you are not going to do the LS swap. It needs a battery, the necessary transmission work, an oil change (and other normal fluids), and tires to put 'er back on the road as an everyday driver. Of course, the transmission stops it from being driven so bring a winch to load it into your truck or trailer. Local pick up only in Grenada Mississippi - Cash only at the time of pick up. The Mississippi registration is current and in my name. There are NO liens, salvage, rebuilt or other such language on the title. The opening bid has been reduced to encourage a sale.
