1968 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe L36 matching numbers 427. The car has give or take 37K mileage and it is thought to be original to include matching numbers. The color is International Blue and the interior is blue. The interior is very pretty and only has one minor flaw on the passenger seat. Both the speedometer and RPM gage are nonfunctioning at this point. Original family owned the car in the PNW for 48 years before sold to via auction to a dealer near Chicago, IL. A racing collector bought the car in 2016 and had it shipped to Central/South Florida where he drove the car for a few years before selling it to me. He did not race it or convert it to a race car because he thought it was too special to do so. I have owned the car for over four years and drive it sparingly. My intention with the car was to have it repainted and have the oil leaks fixed. I never did. Car runs and drives flawlessly except for the lack of gauges listed above and I believe the radiator needs a clean out as the car overheats after idling for 15 minutes. The car needs a repaint. There is very minor surface rust under the car with zero issues with the birdcage or frame. The front windshield has a weird spot but no cracks or chips.
The car does not have a lot of options, accessories, or addons. It does have a new radiator installed. The original radiator is in the back of the car. The previous owner had new tires and the hurst hubcap/rims put on the car. It's not exactly to my taste as I intended to reuse the original hubcaps. I believe those hubcaps to be the PO1 version which are quite original/expensive. However, 3 out of the 4 have curb rash and there are dings/cracks in the center caps. I do have the tank sticker and all keys.
I am willing to take a wire transfer, bank check, or cash transfer at Wells Fargo. All funds will clear before the car's title and car are transferred to the new owner. I'm willing to have the car inspected on your dime at your location of choice (near me) if you are serious. The title is free and clear. Buyer will cover shipping at their cost.
