1962 Chevrolet Impala sedan 4-door. Great running, all original, V8/aut, PS
1962 Chevrolet Impala
1962 Chevrolet Impala.
A good, solid, drivable California survivor with 135000 miles. Sweet looking time capsule with great patina.
327 cui, Turbo Fire, power pack heads, power glide transmission, power steering, it even has the original license plates.
It seems to have an older repaint in the original Adobe / Beige Autumn Gold.
This exterior color with the red interior seems rare, I have personally never seen any other car in this combo.
The original paint is still there in the door jambs, inside of the doors, under the hood and trunk. The clear coat is peeling on several spots but still looks very representable. It has some battle scars here and there, but nothing major.
The floorboards, trunk floor, rocker panels, etc. are all very straight and untouched, there are no rust holes or repairs anywhere, as far as I can see.
The chrome, aluminum, and stainless trim and moldings are in good condition and complete. Straight bumpers with good chrome.
The glass all around is very good, except for a crack in the center top of the windshield. (This car has the optional tinted windshield)
All the doors open, close, and lock very smoothly, and the windows roll up and down.
The interior is good and usable, except for the worn front bench, as seen in the pictures, the passenger side front door panel is bad on the top part.
The dash, gauges and steering wheel are in great shape. The lights, turn signals, gauges, and fan/blower all work. (The horn and wipers do not.)
Recently had the brakes rebuilt, a new master cylinder, front wheel drums, all wheel cylinders, and brake hoses were replaced.
It has a gooddual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.
I just had the transmission out of the car and had it fully serviced. New seals, bands, and gaskets. It shifts good and has no leaks.
The thin white wall tires are almost brand new.
The 327-cui engine was rebuilt1994 at a Modesto, Ca shop and has been driven about 60000 miles since.
It sounds very healthy and runs good and strong. No leaks.
The engine has a 4-bbl. Edelbrock carburetor on top of an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake, Edelbrock valve covers, and an HEI Accel distributor.
(An original 4bbl cast iron intake and the unique original valve covers are included with the car. It also comes with an extra set of trunk torsion springs)
The Impala has a clear California title in my name and is currently registered.
I have been driving it around the neighborhood quite a bit with no issues but would recommend looking everything over before taking it on a cross-country road trip.
Please call or email if you have any questions or want more pictures or videos.
Please note:
I would gladly sell to (and work with) car brokers or dealers, overseas or domestic.
I can arrange for the car to be transported to shipping companies in Northern or Southern California.
Don’t be afraid to communicate.
