1949 Chevy 3 Window Pickup

·235 Engine.

·4 speed transmission (not synchromesh in Reverse or first), first is a creeper/Granny ratio. Original Torque tube driveline.

·Carburetor rebuilt, Oil bath air filter functions as designed, converted to electric fuel pump.

·Valve job two years ago.

·All valves replaced with valves compatible with modern gasoline, head machined, all pushrods replaced during valve job.

·Engine features solid lifters.

·Oil pump rebuilt for reliability guarantee.

·Points were replaced with a Pertronix pickup.

·Electrical system upgraded to 12 Volts modern alternator installed (Regulator removed). (New Battery 5/2023).

·Wiring harness replaced (wires for regulator were left in the event a future owner wants to go back to older appearance.

·All light bulbs and sockets replaced for reliability improvement.

·Original style Vacuum wiper drive remains. I don’t drive it in the rain.

·All glass and associated gasket rubber replaced.

·Truck Cab renovated and repainted to original color. “As found” cab was in excellent condition, no hits.



·Truck bed replaced and painted to match. Wood was replaced.

·15-inch wheel rims all around, Trim rings on all wheels.

·I have 2 original style hub caps (patina specials). Also set of have plain discs to go with truck.

· Original design drum brakes left installed.

·Bumpers replaced with New Chrome units; Side markers and headlight and taillight rims replaced.

·Instrument Cluster:

Speedometer refurbished, oil pressure gage works, added a vacuum gage to monitor engine performance and a temperature gage for assurance of proper operation (gage in original cluster is incomplete and does not work).

·Original style Bench seat (recently reupholstered). Material is not worn or torn.

·New headliner. Other incidental items replaced as needed to provide a complete working truck.

I have owned the truck since 2006. I oversaw or did the restoration/refurbishment. Ask if you want to see pictures of other items. (I will replace the pictures of the body panels; the paint looks better than it is showing in these).
