1972 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle SS
Up for bid is a 1972 Chevelle. The Chevelle was purchased from Co-Part Auto Auctions in 2018. I have no paperwork or documents, so I am unsure on the history. There was no build sheet found in the car either. The engine is a 350/5.7 SBC with a 350-turbo automatic transmission. This is an A/C car, but the lines have been cut and there is no compressor or condenser present.
The Chevelle has barely been driven since being acquired. However, it has been stored indoors. The odometer shows 79,168, but the speedometer does not work. So actual mileage is unknown. The picture of the cowl tag is hard to read, so I have it hand-written in a photo.This Chevelle is good driver quality car. It is not a show car, the paint is not 100%. There are some areas where there is ding or the paint is chipped. A couple of those spots can be seen in the pictures. The frame appears solid and has no rot that is visible. Both driver and passenger floorboards do have rust holes, which is visible in the pictures. There is no spare tire or jack. Looking at the body, it looks like the quarters were replaced/repaired at some point.
This a rebuilt salvage due the flood title. When the car was acquired, all fluids were flushed multiple times. Rear end, engine, and transmission all work well. The Chevelle always starts right up. It runs and drives will.Cold, it starts right after one or two pumps of the pedal.The uploaded video is after a cold start and driven 2 miles.The brakes will need work. There are brakes but not until the last few inches of pushing the pedal. The car will stop though I just wouldn't do any road racing. The brake light is on of course. The generator light is on, but the battery seems to stay up.

As far as numbers matching, never went to that far to confirm but the drivetrain appears to beoriginal. All stock suspension.
