Vehicle DetailsChevrolet 1967 Corvette Coupe. This is a BRASS HAT Corvette, which means it was ordered and purchased by a GM Executive in Harrisburg, PA. I purchased this car in 2012 from Mershon's Corvette in Ohio. What we did not know at the time, until I did a NCRS search was that it was shipped to a dealer code 0, which signifies a BRASS HAT Corvette. This is also indicated on the purchase order box as 000. Though not technically a COPO car since no non- standard items were added. The executive ordered this car for his wife with almost all the options; power steering, brakes, AIR, bolt-on wheels, side exhaust, AM/FM radio, 300hp/327, leather seats, powerglide, tinted windshield, posi, speed warning, in Marlboro Maroon with beige leather Saddle seats. This car was the ":best 1967 we ever had", According to Mershons. It is the best I have ever seen, in UNRESTORED, nearly new condition, with a little over 58,000 original miles. Purchased by Mershon's from the widow of the executive, this was a one owner car. Spoke to the widow and she verified that her husband bought it for her and pampered the car until sale to Mershon's. This is a rare car, eligible for Survivor/ Benchmark status for NCRS/ Bloomington Gold. Recent New correct AC- Delco calipers/pads installed. Also converted to 134A air, which is cold. The only change from original, which is easily corrected by changing the caps, and going back to refrigerant 12. If you ever wanted to go back in time and purchase a highly-optioned Air 1967 Corvette Coupe, UNRESTORED, in near showroom condition, this one is it. I almost fell over when it was delivered. Will not disappoint. Probably best one in the country, and I have been collecting Corvettes for 35 years. Looks NEW, with all correct decals and mechanics. Retirement makes me part with my collection. My enjoyment of these cars needs to be passed along.Since this car was never sent to a dealer, no protecto-plate was ever generated. I have included a 1967 protecto-plate from another Chevy vehicle for display purposes only, to be complete; as I have done at car shows to display with the order sheet and window sticker, and NCRS sheet.
