1972 Chevrolet Corvette

This auction is for someone who has always wanted to own a Corvette, but never had all the money to buy one on the open market and then buy all the parts. Because of health issues that caught me in the middle of installing a Tremic 5 speed transmission, I am selling my 1972 Corvette at auction with a relatively low starting bid and no reserve. It has been laying there calling to me to finish the job, but I cannot summon the energy. I have an 81stbirthday coming up in early August and have made up my mind to sell it. As you can see by the pictures, itis a nice-looking car. The garage photos show the in-process work, and the others show the car as it looked when we bought it.

The body is in perfect condition; doors close smoothly; windows are hand cranked with ease; chrome bumpers are beautiful; the air conditioner was completely rebuilt with all new components in 2015. (The compressor is a rebuilt original). The windshield has one very small imperfection but no cracks; wipers need a new vacuum valve to slide the cover back and forth; there is a driver side mirror; hood opens, closes, and latches perfectly; roof hatches work perfectly and have bags; rear window is removable but I have never taken it out for fear of damaging the paint; tires are Goodyear Double GTll P225R701with tread depth 8/32"; all 4 disk brakes have been renewed with all new parts, rear parking brake components are stainless steel; front suspension received new shocks, rear suspension received a complete rebuild; the differential right side output shaft has a seep; power steering has a new pump and it works fine but it needs new power cylinder tosolve the leak. 57,000 miles on odometer, but odometer is broken. Great paint job with a few blemishes. It is beautiful at5 ft. Head lights work but the vacuum operated headlight doors do not work, but I have a kit to change them to electrical. New Tremic 565 speed transmission.

The are four tasks left to get it running: install the distributor; the steering wheel; the dash; the seats. Then Presto-Bingo you are in possession of one nice piece of yard art.
