Here you're looking at a very nice all original Corvette except for the upgraded Sony stereo. Dash and door panels haven't been altered and original sound system could be easily put back with no damage. This Sony upgrade though works very well. Extra high rating clean Carfax car. This unit has recently within the last six months had a new brake booster and master cylinder replaced, complete brake job including new calipers, rotors, pads etc, new A/C compressor and new high output alternator as well 4 new Good Year Nascar Eagle tires. Headlight systemwas also gone through and everything works as it should. A/C is and always was cold and has not just been patched up tp sell. Car drives out very nice and is very dependable. It starts up and runs smoothevery time like it's fuel injected eventhough it's not. The 350 V8 is very responsive with no issues and the clutch and 4 speed transmission shifts smooth and quite. This is not a 100 point show car as it's all original but it is very, very nice and something to be extremely proud of. An interesting car as 81 was the last year they offered this iconic 4 speed transmission. The odometer shows 12,937 and because it's a 5 digit gaugeI assume it to be turned over although it looks like a very low mileage car. The blue leather interior with power seats is gorgeous. It has tilt wheel and all the gaugeswork properly. It even has the original rack (pictured) to mount on the rear to store the T Tops when driving "topless". No getting caught in the rain here and getting wet. MirroredT Tops permanently etched with vin # for theft deterrentas pictured. I believethat this is one of the nicest quality Corvettes around to be hadat a very affordable price. A great investment. I might be able to deliver this car at buyers expense or you could fly into any Dallas area airport where I can pick you upto start a very memorable drive home. Disclaimer After doing some further research I have found out that 81 may not absolutely be the last year for the iconic 4 speed stick shift. Some 4 speeds in 1982 may have been produced in the St louis plant before moving all production to Bowling Green Ky. The sales new for Corvette 4 speeds were cancelled for California bound cars much before this as they couldn't pass the strict California emissions code. That was only for new dealer sold Corvettes and I'm sure some buyers from California bought their 4 speeds out of state and brought them home. This information is hard to research and only the best that I could put together. I have no intentions of misleading anyone.
