I have owned H-Body Chevrolets since the 1970s. This Monza is my final car. I have owned it since 2016. I have done all the work myself with AC Delco or other high-quality parts. I have gotten the car mechanically sorted. The next owner can drive it as-is or repaint it to get it to the next level.
ENGINE:
· Original numbers matching 305 V8 (5 Liter) Engine were removed.
· While out I installed a new stock cam, new stock oil pump, new valve lifters, new roller rockers, and new pushrods.
· Heads were sent to a machine shop and are all new and decked.
· Engine has low miles and did not need rings or any work done on the crankshaft.
· New timing gears.
· New rear main seal.
· All new gaskets.
· Painted Chevy blue.
· New motor mounts.
· New water pump.
· New plugs, cap, rotor, wires and distributor.
· New HEI ignition module.
· Stock springs in the HEI and adjustable vacuum advance can.
· Burns no oil and has no smoke of any kind out the tailpipes.
TRANSMSISSION:
· Original Turbo-Hydro 350 transmission.
· New mount.
· Replaced the torque converter seal when the engine was out.
· No leaks.
· Shifter linkage is perfect.
DRIVESHAFT:
· Balanced the driveshaft, new bearings and seals installed.
ENGINE BAY:
· Engine was removed, and engine bay was restored and repainted in factory white color.
WHEEL LUGS:
· Common 5-lug 1982 Chevrolet S10 conversion at front and S10 rear axles.
· All new parts used.
· All AC/Delco or Strange.
SUSPENSION:
· Front suspension completely removed, cleaned and restored.
· New bushings, tie rods and ball joints, then professionally aligned.
· Steering wheel is correct and car tracks perfectly.
· Thick front sway bar with new bushings.
· New wheel bearings and seals.
· 4 new gas shocks.
· Rear suspension all taken apart.

· Thick rear sway bar.

STEERING:

REAR END:

· New Strange S10 style axles.
· Proper oil and additive.
· No leaks.
· No noise at all.
· Built for highway cruising.
· This is not a burn-out king.
· Though you can easily change out the gears if you want to.
FUEL SYSTEM:
· New 600 CFM Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor with all smog hoses properly attached.
· Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold.
· Gas tank was removed and cleaned, it is perfect inside.
· In-tank fuel pump replaced.
· Secondary electric fuel pump mounted in engine bay as a back up with switch inside the cabin. I use it to prime the carburetor if the car has been sitting for long time.
AIR CLEANER:
· I custom built a dual snout air cleaner to look like it is a factory GM 4-barrel air cleaner unit with cold air intake from the sides of the engine bay.
· The Thermactor valves work on both snouts to help the car warm up quickly. Looks totally factory. This took a lot of work to get it to fit under the hood and function correctly.
· It has a ½” phenolic riser gasket to keep the carburetor from overheating.
· The car restarts well when it is hot.
SMOG EQUIPMENT:
· All present, intact and connected, including cat converter.
EXHAUST:
· Stock Monza manifolds and crossover pipe at the transmission. Then to a single high-flow catalytic converter. Then to a small resonator. Then up over the axle to a Camaro 1 in, 2 out stock muffler with two exhaust tips run to each side of the rear bumper.
· Breathes well and is factory stock sounding.

· New original battery cables.
· New Alternator.
· New belt.
BODY:
· Has rare aluminum taillight panel.
· Extra wheel well chrome.
· Extra lower belt line chrome.
· No rust on the cowl, door bottoms, wheel wells or frame.
· No rust at the battery box!!!
· The quarter panels are fine, though the passenger side needs a little smoothing over when the car gets painted.
SUNROOF:
· Car came from the factory with the very rare Skytrends sliding sunroof. The plastic had all deteriorated and was useless. I replaced the Skytrends roof with a period correct sunroof from a Monza.
· I installed the sunroof with RV type sealant so it can easily be removed to paint the car.
· The inner rubber has not been installed with glue yet as you will need access to the screws that hold down the sunroof.
· The gasket is 99% fine and will RTV well into place and seal well when the time comes.
PAINT:
· There is still some factory paint on the car.
· Some areas were repainted a long time ago in the factory color.
· I repainted the roof (not perfectly) when I replaced the sunroof.

· Looks factory.
· The factory clock is included.
TRUNK:

TITLE:
· Clear title in my name.
· Registered in WA State.
· Located in La Conner, Washington, one hour north of Seattle.
· In secure dry garage.
HISTORY:
· I believe I am the 3rd owner.
· One female owner most of its life in Vancouver BC Canada.
· Then one owner for two years in Mount Vernon, WA.
· Then me since 2016.
· Won the People’s Choice award at the 2019 La Conner Antique Car & Boat Show.
Recently I drove the car 550+ miles over 3 days to eastern Washington with temps up to 100 degrees over mountain passes. No issues at all. Burned no oil. Never gets hot. Great freeway car.
POSITIVES:
· You can get all parts for this car anywhere inexpensively.
· It is a better car than the hatchbacks as it used more metal and has a lot less plastic on the front and rear ends.
· Real chrome bumpers.
· Can be driven anywhere reliably.
· 20 MPG on the freeway.
· I use ethanol-free gas.
· Can be used as a daily driver and can be driven reliably.
NEGATIVES:
· Left blinker does not cancel. Needs the part that goes under the steering wheel. Easy fix. $20.
· S10 front suspension reduces the turning circle a little. Front tires rub the plastic wheel well liners on full lock. Can cut out a small section to stop this easily.
· Sunroof gasket is installed, but it will need to be sealed to not leak. I have the car in a dry barn and only drive it when sunny.
· It looks great from 10 feet. It needs a little body work and then paint to be perfect. It is an easy car to blow apart and paint.
COMES WITH:
· A small block aluminum Corvette Intake manifold and a period correct Rochester 4-barrell carburetor that was never used.
· Along with six boxes of spare parts and manuals.
I am happy to answer any questions, take any pics/videos and can arrange any inspections. Located one hour north of Seattle, WA. Can assist with your shipper. The car is in a secure dry barn. I have clear title in my name.
