1955 Chevrolet 2 Door Post Dart Little M engine with BlowerThis is a 1955 Chevrolet 2 Door Post. Not a drag car but a bragging rights car, ad Max highway cruiser with a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission. In 5th gear, t .64:1 which is overdrive, he 4:10 axle ration brings the final drive ratio down to 2.6ish. You can actually drive it on the highway. See my many pictures (click to supersize then click fit to screen on lower left) for details. This was a frame off restoration ~ six years ago. It has been very well taken care of and constantly updated including new body frame cushions and new wiring. The photos speak for themselves. Paint: Really nice, aw dropping House of Kolors shimron paint Engine: Dart Little "M" Block (406) with Dart Pro 1 Heads and a Dyer's 8-71 polished blower. Blower is under driven minus 13.5 for street use. Two (2) Holley 4150 pro-system blower carbs detuned for street use - initial cost over $1,000 each. MSD ignition. Engine starts up cold with 2 pumps and when warm no pumps needed. Idles at a steady 1200 RPM. Has safety cutoff switch mounted near emergency brake that will cut all electrical power including fuel pump. Engine has about 500 miles on it. Transmission: New Tremec 5 speed manual with only 50 miles on it. 5th gear is .64:1 for overdrive. Has new hydraulic clutch with pedal adjustment, ew pressure plate, ly wheel and housing. Cooling: Stewart stage 4 (yes, stage 4) water pump for proper cooling. Massive aluminum radiator set up for automatic or standard transmission. Dual electric fans with adjustable speeds. This engine does not overheat. Steering/Suspension: Rear adjustable coil overs with adjustable bars plus pan hard bar. Front end Heidt's tubular A arms with built in 5 degree caster for front end alignment. New shocks and front end springs. New rack and pinion power steering. 2 1/2" Heidt's drop spindles. Brakes: New Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes plus a Wilwood e-brake. New dual master cylinder. Exhaust: Custom 3" pipes that are flanged so they can be taken apart easily. Mufflers are also flanged for easy exchange (see pictures). Rear end: Ford 9" with Currie 4:10 axle ratio, ut with a Tremec 5 speed overdrive tranny. Interior: Leather upholstery, ew Ididit tilt steering wheel, ew Autometer gauges with GPS speedometer. Radio and heater delete. Not a rain car - windshield wipers are decorative. See pictures.
