Description:

1975 Chevrolet Corvette

Offered for sale in this true eBay auction with a $1.00 starting price is my restored, heavily optioned 1975 Corvette Convertible. Although I haven't posted a Buy It Now price for my car I'll sell it for $22,000. Of the 4,629 convertibles built in 1975 only 6 white examples were produced with so many options. I'll go out on a very short limb and say that this is one of the finest and rarest urethane bumper C3 Corvettes offered for sale in the last 3 years.
I had the car professionally restored 15,008 miles ago using highest quality parts. Here's a partial list of what I had done to the Corvette:
* Complete top to bottom engine rebuild with all new components including heads, pistons, rings, rods, crank, cam and much more.* New HEI distributor.* New water pump.* New oil pump.* Master cylinder replacement.* Complete rebuild of all 4 disc brakes including caliper and rotor replacement.* A/C system rebuild and high pressure hose replacement.* New GM radiator.* Rebuilt the Rochester Quadrajet carburetor.* Vacuum system rebuild and hose replacement.* New convertible top.* New interior including leather seats, seat backs, door panels, dash top, front & rear carpet, seat belts and more.* Never damaged body was stripped and base coat/clear coat painted.* 5 new B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A tires were mounted on 1977 Corvette aluminum wheels 830 miles ago.
Here's how my Corvette is equipped:

Exterior Condition:
The Classic White finish is flawless. It's completely chip, scratch and blemish free. The car looks as if it has been dipped in molten white glass.
The car was largely disassembled prior to painting. Front and rear bumpers were removed and were painted off the car. All emblems and lettering were removed as were the door handles and the locks. The car was hand blocked (sanded) after the original finish was removed. 4 coats of correct Classic White DuPont paint were applied to the car as were 3 coats of clear.
The door, hood and panel fit are the best I've ever seen on a urethane bumper C3.
Interior Condition:
The entire interior except for the lower half of the dash was replaced with a new Eckler's Corvette leather interior. It's gorgeous flawless and still has its rich leather smell. Door panels, dash top, hand brake cover, transmission tunnel cover, seat backs and upper & lower seat covers and upper and lower molded seat foam were all replaced.
Engine & Transmission:
The engine was removed from the car and rebuilt from top to bottom 15,008 miles ago. Every single component inside the engine and heads was replaced with correct, stock GM L82 parts.
The transmission has been fully serviced and is in excellent condition.
The rear end was serviced 830 miles ago using correct GM gear oil and essentialdifferential additive.
Engine Compartment:
Ultra, ultra clean and stock and fully detailed. Probably show quality in its condition.
Wheels & Tires:
5 brand new B. F. Goodrich white letter tires were installed 830 miles ago on 1977 Corvette aluminum wheels. The new Goodrich spare tire was mounted on the freshly sand blasted and painted spare rim then sealed in a large 8 mil thick plastic bag. It sits untouched under the car in a brand new tire cradle.
The wheels have been polished and show nicely but are not perfect. Two show a small blemish or two on the bead and all are a little less bright than I'd like.
Convertible Top:
Brand new and in perfect cosmetic condition and it fits very well. This is a high quality reproduction top. The top is, of course, manual and goes up and down quickly accurately as all the top bows and cables have been expertly adjusted. Zero leaks.
Optional Auxiliary Top:
Perfect unblemished condition. The rear window is absolutely crystal clear and the stainless steel trim gleams. I put the top on twice for an approximate total of 2 weeks and properly stored it for years.
Brakes:
The brakes were completely rebuilt using Ecklers Corvette components. Calipers, rotors, pads, lines and master cylinder are all new and have only 830 miles of use on them.
Chassis, Frame & Birdcage:
Completely rust-free. Period. My Corvette has been a Florida car all its life but is now at our northern summer house in Virginia.
Air Conditioning:
Ice cold.
Gauges:
Speedometer, odometer and center gauges are all operational although I think the clock works intermittently. When the restoration of the car was finished I had the odometer set to zero miles. The Corvette had 40,000 miles on it before the restoration began.
Miscellaneous:
I haven't individually listed all of the new parts added to the car but a short list includes correct, door and hood weather stripping, center console A/C & heat controls, power window motors, head light vacuum canisters, heavy duty battery and much more.
* Custom Shoulder Belts were originally ordered by but were removed by the original owner.
Driveability:
Exceptional, exceptional, exceptional. This car is a pure pleasure to drive. It is a tight, squeak-free, leak-free and completely care free car that runs, steers, turns, stops, shifts, accelerates and drives pretty close to the way a new 1975 Corvette did 48 years ago. I can make this comparison because I bought a new '75 Corvette back in the day.
If you choose to fly in and drive my Corvette home I say with absolute truthfulness that the car can be driven 3,000 miles to your home in comfort and with rock solid reliability. This is an excellent Corvette. My Comparative Corvette Knowledge:
I've owned 14 or 15 Corvettes over the years and know these cars well. I know what a nice one should be like and this is a niceCorvette.
Affordability:
Exceptional 1968 through 1972 Corvette 'metal bumper' convertibles have become very expensive in the last 10 years.. A 1972 Corvette convertible equipped like mine and in the same condition as mine now sells for $30,000 to $35,000 or more. 1974 and 1975 urethane bumper Corvettes are, I think, the only affordable way to buy a high quality C3 Corvette convertible.
I'm a 67 years old safe driver insured with Hagerty Insurance. My Corvette is insured for $22,000 with a $100 deductible and pay $335 yearly for insurance.
Photos:
My photos have not been Photoshopped.

Where I Am:
You're very welcome to examine my Corvette before auction's end or I'd be happy to take it to the local mechanic or Chevrolet dealer of your choice. Your expense, please.
