1963 Chevy Impala 409 4-Speed Project Car Gasser Style Hot Rod From 1966
1963 Chevrolet Impala
1963 Impalas. Both are 2dr Hardtops. Both clear titles, and tags/trim tags are intact.First is a non-SS 409 4 speed car. From what info I have been able to come up with it was modified in 1966 with a beam axle and parallel leaf springs, Olds/Pontiac 9.3 rear end on non-parallel leaf springs and was drag raced at U.S.30 for a few years. Next owner provided his history from 1971-1981. He removed 409 and ran a BBC. Pictures from this time frame included. There is no engine/trans in the car. Was 409 4 speed white with black interior bench seat car. I do not have the bench seat or the factory tach. I do have correct buckets and console with brackets from the parts car. Very solid car, needs minimal body work. Lower quarter patch were installed on both sides due to old damage behind the wheel openings. Seams are hidden behind the trim. Has been off the frame, and the frame cleaned and painted. Trim and bumpers were removed for a paint job that didn't end up happening. Car is packed full of parts, new gas tank and headliner still in boxes.Slot mags have been on it since 71. Nice solid Impala project.Second car is a rough roller small block automatic SS. Was a white with black interior car. Sheet metal is pretty much all here as well as bumpers. Floors and body braces are bad. Its rough. No glass. Sheet metal is surprisingly decent. Has all suspension parts if you wanted to turn the good car back to stock. Rolls easily. One picture of this car is included. It is the car with no glass.
I picked up a 64 409 QA short block from an old guy who said his dad pulled it from his car during the 74 gas crunch and installed a 6 instead. Heads were stolen, so no heads, but I do have the dual quad 409 intake. Engine needs completely gone through. Sitting in a barn since 74. Engine is dis-assembled now and everything looks good. Factory windage tray was in place, looks like no fingers were ever in there. I can send more pictures if desired.Don't want the parts car? You're welcome to strip what you want and leave the rest.Cars must be removed within 30 days after payment is received. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, I will not ship.

I may not have been clear about some things. The 64 QA code 409 short block and related parts IS INCLUDED. There are NO heads. I had intended to purchase Edelbrock heads. The dual quad factory intake IS included. The bucket seats are complete and are included as well as the console and brackets. The back seat is there as well as an extra one from the parts car. There is an extra pair of nice front fenders and two pairs of inner front fenders included. There is a nice extra trunk lid included. The parts car has a lot of miscellaneous 63 Impala parts inside it, including some side glass. The interior in the good car is mostly complete with the exception of one door panel. Can't remember which side. Happy to provide more details. keep the questions coming.

Engine block casting number for those who have asked is 3844422. Stamped code on front pad is QA. Included with the block are ALL the related parts. Crank, cam, lifters, rods, pistons, main caps, oil pan and windage tray, canister oil filter with filter, timing cover, timing chain, water pump pulley, crank pulley, balancer, flywheel, and clutch. It was a complete short block. Again, NO HEADS, but a factory dual quad intake manifold IS included.
