1974 Chevrolet Nova
To start with, let me first say that I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard-earned money, I feel that there is never too much information.
As for myself, I am a (73) year old kid that loves muscle and classic cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback that is at 95% with (1,350) transactions and only (1) BS negative. Many of my transactions have been muscle cars, which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Australia, and the Netherlands. My reputation for honesty is well known amongst muscle car lovers.

The car is finished in gleaming white with red, white, and blue stripes, and it has a black vinyl roof. The interior is all-white vinyl with red carpeting, and it has a 350 cubic inch V8 engine. This car is a great way to show your patriotism, and it is also a lot of fun to drive.

Some Brief History on the 1974 Chevrolet Nova Spirit of America:
With the U.S. bicentennial approaching (not to mention the onslaught of new imported cars from Japan), Chevrolet introduced a patriotic red, white, and blue Spirit of America package (RPO Z51) for 1974. Patriotic fever must have been widespread at Chevrolet, as the company also offered Spirit of America packages for the Vega, and even the Impala. The Spirit of America package cost $399 extra in 1974. The package includes and is available on the 1XY17 Hatchback Coupe

Now for your consideration of my beautiful 1974 Chevrolet Nova Spirit of America. It shows 67,003 miles on the odometer but is being sold as mileage exempt. I don’t know what to say about this Nova other than it is rarer than hen’s teeth. I thought I knew pretty much everything about all GM special versions produced but I must admit that I have never heard of the Spirit of America Nova. The car starts, runs, stops and drives down the road fine.
The easiest way for a prospective buyer to get a sense for the SOA Nova is with lots of photos and a video. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them and respond ASAP.
I recommend all prospective buyers to request to see the additional photos and video.

Exterior: My 1974 Chevrolet Nova Spirit of America was repainted one time in its original color of antique white and still looks good. There are areas of scratches and paint peeling here and there. The graphics are still good. The trim is in good condition as well as all the glass. The door handles and the side mirrors are also in good condition. Marker lights, taillights and bezels are in good condition. All the rims and tires are very good.
The following areas are functional:
· Headlights;
· Taillights;
· Blinkers Front and Rear;
· Plate Light;
· Wipers;
· Horn.
Interior: The white bucket seat interior is original and looks nice with the exception of the rip in the side of the driver’s seat. The dash has no warping, cracks or fading. The center console looks great with no cracks or staining. However, there was a car-show sticker that peeled off leaving a small area marred. All factory belts are present and in good condition. Door locks and windows are in good working order. All gauges are working. A/C and heat are working. Aftermarket radio works and sounds great.
The following interior areas are functional:
· Radio;
· A/C;
· Overhead Interior Light;
· Glove Box Light;
· Heater;
· Speedometer;
· Fuel Gauge;
· Tilt Wheel;
· Cigarette Lighter.
Engine: The original 350ci engine is long gone and was replaced many years ago by a new 350ci GM Goodwrench engine. This engine sits beautifully in the engine bay. It looks like some of the original components reinstalled on the replacement engine. There are no messy engine leaks or annoying exhaust puffing sounds within this SOA Nova and the overall look is clean and neat in appearance.
Transmission: The automatic transmission functions as it should. There is a transmission leak that looks to be due to a bad gasket. The transmission has no funny noises, and the transmission shifts up and down through the gears with no issues.
Rear Axle: The rear axle appears to be in good condition. There are no funny noises or clunking observed.
Trunk: The trunk is in good condition. The Hatchback liftgate opens and closes nicely. The original spare tire is missing. I did add a jack assembly, but it is not the original.
Undercarriage: The undercarriage is good showing few signs of rust. Look at the extensive undercarriage photos which will display the undercarriage condition better than any description that I can conger up.
