You are looking at a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Aztec Copper Dual Quad Roadster that was disassembled in 1980 for a restoration. The car has been stored in Kansas. Recently unearthed in an Estate Sale, this very nice and mostly complete restoration project is an excellent candidate for a Concours Original Restoration or made into a World Class RestoMod.This project retains the majority of its original parts, as well as quite a few NOS items (many such as emblems, etc) ... This is car number 1,626 produced and was more than likely a late December 1956 or early January 1957 build date. All 1957 Corvettes produced in this early period that were manual transmission were 3 Speeds. This car retains its original 3 Speed Transmission (disassembled for restoration). This project does not come with an engine. It does however, come with the dual quad intake manifold, dual quad carbs, exhaust manifold and many other engine parts. This would have been a 283ci V8 with a 245hp or 270hp powerplant with Dual Quad (4 bbl) Carbs.
The items this car comes with are documented in the Photo Gallery and includes the majority of everything needed to make a complete car except for the long block.
The Fiberglass body is in very nice shape. It is an excellent body that is stripped down to bare white fiberglass. It appears to be a body that has never been in a major collision. All the bonding strips are intact! It has a separation just slightly in front of the trunk lid. There is a slight repair on the drivers front fender. What you see in many pictures is what you get and it is VERY NICE. The doors have primer on them that has been added after being stripped back in 1980/1981. They are white fiberglass, as well.
This Corvette was disassembled in 1980/81 and its parts wrapped in 1981 newsprint. In the pictures you can see all the newspaper that was unwrapped to reveal many new NOS parts and rechromed and polished parts that are ready for reassembly. This project is an EXCELLENT starting point for a very HIGH END RESTO ...
This car comes with a clear title.This Corvette comes with Original Radio, All Gauges, All Bright Work and Bumperettes.It even has its Original T3 headlights. This car was disassembled with only 54k miles.
This Corvette also comes with Factory Hard Top (Nice) and Original Soft Top.
Wheels have very NICE Wide White Wall Bias Ply Rubber.
