1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Belair

This is your chance to purchase an award winning 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad that was produced at GM’s Cleveland, Ohio assembly plant and was acquired by the same family who still owns it since 1968. The car is finished in two-tone Coronado yellow and India Ivory white over Inca silver and black upholstery, Power is provided by the correct fuel-injected 283ci V8 paired with the original Power glide two-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a driver’s side spotlight, power-assisted brakes, power steering, vacuum assisted ash tray, locking gas cap, and Wonder bar AM radio, emergency brake warning light, optional rubber floor mats, under dash waste bin, compass, clock, dual exhaust, deluxe license plate frame, ez-eye glass, padded dash, tissue dispenser, and a pair of rear fender skirts, and a clean Oregon title.

Finished from the factory in India Ivory and Coronado Yellow (814D), the car was repainted in the late 1980s with the correct lacquer paint. Other features include sloped B-pillars, ribbed aluminum tail fin inserts, wrap-around rear glass, sliding rear windows, a clamshell rear tailgate, and the correct fuel injection badging.Steel 14″ wheels wear factory covers with the correct accessory knockoffs and are wrapped in 205/75 Coker classic wide-whitewall tires.

The cabin features a split-folding front and fixed rear bench upholstered in silver vinyl with patterned black cloth inserts.A silver-finished steering wheel with a chrome horn ring frame. 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges displaying coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows less than 1k miles (reset at time of restoration). Approximately 20k miles have been added by the current owner’s family since 1968, though true mileage is less than 70 thousand.

This ultra rare Nomad with the correct numbered Rochester Fuel Injected 283ci V8 was rebuilt in the early 1990s. When the car was acquired in 1968, it had the cross flags on the fenders but did not have fuel injection. All fluid services were performed in 2022. The fuel injection was also serviced by a certified expert and is operating perfectly in early 2023.Power is delivered to the rear wheels via the original rebuilt two-speed Power glide automatic transmission.
