1973 K5 BLAZER!!!! The first year of the square bodies and one of the most sought after. This is a great opportunity to own a beautiful mid restoration blazer, almost all the pieces are there to do a period correct restoration or a very nice off road rig! Almost everything is there from all new window, hard top and door seals to original trim pieces, door panels and rear interior bed panels with all the bracketry to extra pieces we’ve collected over time to help with the restoration. I think the pictures speak for themselves as far as what’s included but I’ll try my best to break everything down.

At one point the blazer had a retrofitted A/C system but it’s been removed, the hole in the firewall as well as the cutout in the gauge bezel remain.
This blazer had extra holes drilled in the floor for extra seat belts that have since been removed but are included with the sale
The rear quarter panels had some damage but we were able to source an oe set off of a ‘78 donor, this model year had a gas door instead of the gas cap that was affixed directly to the side of the panel. We didnt get around to frenching in the old gas filler and body section. From that same ‘78 donor we also received a real nice set of sliding side windows for the hard top with the original correct seals needed to install them as well as a tilt steering column that we were going to modify to sit pretty in place of the current non tilt steering column.
All the original side molding is included and even comes with extra pieces we’ve come across. They can be cleaned up for re use or used as reference. Some molding pieces are damaged or missing, mostly the molding around the wheel arches. The interior door panels and rear side panels are good surviving Cheyenne panels that can serve as a great reference for that original look. A good assortment of seals for the doors, windows and hard top are included, most have never been opened but the part numbers are all there and were purchased from lmc trucks so it shouldn’t be too hard to sort thru and identify.
The seats need to be redone but we left them as is for reference to order the correct seat kits or to copy the stitch pattern at your upholsterer. The passenger seat tilts forward to access the rear bench, all the bracketry is there and it latches fine. The center console is complete and does not have any cracks in the hinge or lid. Originally the blazer had the standard loop carpet
But it was so weathered we removed it and the sound deadener and didn’t get around to reordering a kit. The body and tub have had some work done. Most notably the outside was primered and the interior along the footwells was treated for rust, primered and sprayed the original silver color based off of the color of the dash. The whole interior was sprayed the final color but the intention was always to carpet the inside. The driver side door was replaced before we took ownership of the blazer, we did cherry it out and replace the ratty old window regulator with a better oe one from a donor. The bumpers are from a donor vehicle and were the straightest we could find, for the most part the bumpers have new stamped brackets but we do have a good assortment of original brackets that are included. The front inner fenders were replaced and sprayed with an undercarriage spray similar to bedliner spray, at the same time the rusted out battery tray was replaced. We have the original mirrors as well as a set of small mirrors that would’ve gone on a 1st gen. We do have all the lenses and housings for the tail lights and marker lights, some hardware might’ve always been missing and lost to time but there are several boxes of screws and bolts to sort thru and plenty of aftermarket support to find the correct and exact hardware needed to piece back together. If I’m missing something in my description it’s not intentional and I’m more than happy to answer any reasonable questions.
This was an ongoing project for us when times were simpler but things have evolved and we don’t have the time and space to dedicate to this blazer. We’re not hard up for cash but know it’s not doing anybody any good having this blazer collect dust in our shop so nows a chance for a lucky person to have a great vehicle
I should note that this truck has been sitting and does have some weeping seals and mating areas on the transmission and transfer case and axles but it does not leave any stains on the floor.
