Vehicle Details

Welcome to the auction of this beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. It's been a minute since I've offered a car on this site but take a look.

This Real 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was produced at GM’s Norwood, Ohio, facility. I actually purchased this car 18 years ago right here in Salt Lake City, Utah. I immediately commissioned the car to be completely restored. Every nut and bolt was renewed or replaced at a substantial expense, even by today's standards. This car originally came from the factory with a black vinyl top, black stripes and white ivory interior. It seemed like a weird combo to me and I made the decision to change it to white vinyl and white stripes. I also had the original Lemans blue color tweaked to give it a little more pop. I know that's a sin for purists, but I intended to keep this car for myself and didn't care. The color change is absolutely gorgeous with the white contrast. In flat light, it still looks like Lemans blue, but in brighter light it shows more of an Azure Turquoise, which was also a rare color option in 1969. Once the car was finished, a good friend of mine fell in love with it and had to have it. He kept the car for many years until his passing and it was left to his son who eventually sold it. I reaquired the car last March 2022 and had the pleasure of freshening up a few things for this old friend cuz she deserves it.

This car is always one of the fan favorites at the many car shows she's been in and for good reasons beyond the stunning paint and body...

The engine is a fully, professionally restored, date code correct, DZ302, still running the "break-in" oil from the recent rebuild. This is as close as you can possibly get to an actual matching numbers motor. Correct DZ 4 barrel carburetor, New AC Delco Battery, Matching numbers Muncie 4 speed manual transmission, Refurbished A.I.R. system, Hurst shifter, Center console, Console gauges, Factory pushbutton Am/Fm radio, Clock works intermittently, Brand New White Ivory Upholstery, Woodgrain trim, Seat belts with original shoulder harness, 3 Spoke comfort steering wheel with center horn, 120mph speedometer, 8k tachometer, New front coil and Rear leaf springs with all new shocks, date code correct 12 bolt rear end, rare chambered exhaust system, power assisted front disc brakes, 15 inch rally wheels with center caps, BFG TA radial tires, Rare Space saver spare with jack assembly, Front and rear spoilers, Front and rear chrome bumpers with rear guards, Side rear view mirrors, Cowl induction hood, Front and rear spoilers, Even the annoying key buzzer works! All fluids have been replaced with the exception of the break in oil, which has another approximately 150 miles to go.

**THIS CAR ALSO COMES WITH THE "CAUTION FAN" STICKER! My friend liked them and I put it on in his honor. Obviously whoever buys the car can peel it off at their choice. Another cringe for the purists.????

This car runs, drives and shows at the top of it's class! On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being an absolutely perfect, undriven car, this car is a solid 8.5 plus. I am critical when it comes to cars. Let me know if I can answer any questions or you would like to have the car inspected. I welcome both.
