1940 Chevy Pickup

Engine & drivetrain: 350 Chev with dual-four barrel Demon carburetor on a polished Weiand (QFT) hi-tunnel ram manifold fitted with aircraft fuel lines. 10 to 1 compression—Luminati cam with ear-piercing gear drive with serpentine belt. All aluminum 3-row radiator with fan.

Electronic MSD distributor & chrome 100 amp alternator. 8000 rpm Bosch tach mounted high on dash.

Ceramic coated “full-dump” headers into 2 1/2 inch pipes to 4 inch chrome stacks coming up through the pick up bed like some monstrosity from a diesel truck.

Lokar shifter tied into a solid 9 inch Ford ALL aluminum pumpkin w/Dutchman axles with a lightening response from 4:11 geared pose-traction rear end!

Truck runs cool even in stiff traffic!

Undercarriage: Custom fully boxed chassis by well know local retired metal fabricator & Z’d frame. Historic period chrome radius rods and classic “arm shocks”. Vega steering box. 3 inch dropped-drilled chrome axle up front. Disc brakes by Speedway all around with rear mounted proportioning valve.

Rear coil overs by Ludwig. Traction bars for serious straight launches. Hand fabricated aluminum 10 gallon gas tank. Rear mounted Yellow Optima battery perfection with quick disconnect. Sway bar.

Rear wheels classic Weld with 18 inch Mickey Thompson soft racingy rubber & Rocket Racing Wheels in front - new owner BEWARE no wheelie-bar!

Interior: Roll out windshield by creative hands.

Gauges by AutoMeter: water temp, oil pressure & volt meter. Horn & fan toggle switches dash mounted.

Exterior: All steel body. Headlights with custom drilled frame mounts.

Look close to see firewall mounted front blinkers. 1932 Ford taillights. My Bro Dave hand crafted this 1937 Chev grill—to Kool huh?!?
